J.S. Bach: Toccata and Fugue in D minor.

A rockin' tune with some great basslines. No video available......

I loved Gato's  playing when he first showed up on the scene. The soundtrack for The Last Tango in Paris made the film. It's over the top but somehow just works.

I'll check it out. It was the Caliente album that did it for me. He was one of the best....Adios amigo

I saw this guy in concert at a small Texas bar, and it was absolutely wonderful. He is much more the Guy Clark type now rather than this highly polished Nashville sound, but this song is still a fun ditty.

Caught these guys in a NOLA bar last week. No cover, small room, horns right in my face.  Fuckin' awesome!

I can't get this silly song/beat out of my mind since hearing it on daytime TV in the other room yesterday!

Admit it, you were in front of the TV, in your recliner, in a bathrobe, box of bon bons in your lap, hangin' on every word.

Next room, yeah, right.

No, I was actually running displacement hydros figures on 85' ketch that I had just been asked to scale up to 90! The words did get my attention and I joined my GF who was watching Kelly Clarkson. Cute little ditty, the song Kelly too but she has a bit too much displacement to length ratio for my tastes. I do like the beam/length ratio of her guest Annie Murphy who wrote the song though. BTW, this morning, I am scaling the 90'er up to 95'!

Listening to Khruangbin which was posted a ways above, great stuff!

Me too. The "Harder they Come" sound track has a lot of great island music.

A wonderful song that has been covered way too often, but this is a great performance. Hope it encouraged lots of fund-raising in Oz

No music, but we're listening to 40 knots, gusts close to 50 whipping around the bridge of the ship.

It did.  There was $half a million pledged during her stand-out two-song bracket comprising The Valley and Hallelujah .

How did I miss these guys?  Great band! My day is made!

you missed them because they are Canadian and they fairly purposely did not make it big below the border. each time i listen to one of their songs i think, 'this is my favourite.' then i hear a different one and i think, 'this is my favourite.' been going on for years like that.  find some of their live stuff. Gord's 'rants' are awesome. he is sorely missed.

try this one...... its killerwhaletank.......

The live Woodstock '99 set is pretty cool.   Riding around this weekend with Hip.

Their last show in Kingston was pretty special.
