Fresh from Italy...

Well you could not have predicted this outcome from watching the video of the boat leave a port in the slowest possible manner whilst engaging a shore break at an angle. Genius.

Is there any point while they were slowly motoring toward a closed-out channel that they thought to themselves that this wasn't a good idea? What could possibly have been so important?

Wow, so they did Crash and Burn! I wondered about it as I only saw the Facebook video this morning to the point where they made it around the Breakwater and I was saying the same thing more speed, more speed!

Its presumably the Medi. Not much practice with bars there.

Just 'cos you can afford it doesn't mean you know how to drive it.....Now where have I heard that before.

Lagoon 420, standard power 40HP yammers x2 pushing 20,000 lbs.  Also sold with electric hybrid motors which were probably even less power.

that was probably all she could make against that surf.

That should have been enough horsepower for that load. If not,  that's when they should have figured something's wrong and realized it wasn't a good idea to head out.
