J/Boats (US) doesn't own any molds.  J/Composites in France does...and as that's where the J/99 is currently being built...

If it is a J99, it looks like my kinda boat.

Though the bottom mainsheet block is in the wrong spot. should be between the traveler and the tiller for short handed.

Sure. Gina Carano looks exactly like the woman in that animated meme. rolleyes.gif

There are some seriously visually impaired participants here. I'll bet these same people can't read a lines plan or schematic.

How did they get it to come out of the mold with a waterline stripe already painted on?

:o

Colored g coat masked and sprayed onto the mold first.

 Relatively common...

I 'm hoping it's a J/85.  The slip that I'm on a wait list for has a max LOA of 28 feet.

I was thrown off when I looked at the waterline on the hull.i thought it was all the way dead aft.  It didnt look like the overhang on the 99 in the pic, but I see it now. Nice looking boat from a guy with a Fareast28R.

Boot Stripes are generally not located at the waterline.

Among other purely aesthetic reasons, boot stripes and wide shear stripes are used to disguise high freeboard.

I'm amazed no-one has mentioned the fixed bowsprit.

It can be ordered with twin rudders or a single rudder.

So that's where all the J-24 vermiculite filler went.

Plenty of info over on the J/99 thread.   Lots of options on this boat.  How many rudders is one of them.

There's only one reason for twin rudders,  the ass end is overly flat and wide.

the 99 ass end is neither.

   One rudder only please...
