Guy on his 30'+ sport fisherman was on autopilot cleaning his fish when he came through our boom at probably 10 knots. Rig stayed up and we got towed in bruised and battered. Not sunk, but the boat was totalled. We were on also port. Didn't seem to matter to the cops or the insurance company. He offered us a fish. To make it all better. A story I read (I think I linked to it up thread) the sailboat operator said they tried to alert the powerboat and attempted to avoid when it was apparent the powerboat was not going to give way. Sailboat = 6 knots, powerboat 25 knots. That's why the sailboat is the 'stand on' vessel.
