Correction, the never Trumper Republicans "might" be sorry for the Mueller mess. Hard to say, but Dems had nothing to do with it.

Terrible abuse of government power. Financially ruin a good person and target his family to try and get Trump.

The message? The establishment owns you. Support someone we don't approve of and we will destroy you.

Meuller mimics every exaggerated every cop show interrogation "Ya gotta give us more than that. You'll rot in jail as Buba's bitch unless you come up with a better story than that."

I think Flynn earned his keep and Mueller will get a medal.

FBI Expert Suggests Michael Flynn May Have Worn a Wire in Conversations With Trump

MSNBC’s Morning Joe called on Frank Figluzzi to come in and help explain the memo. Figluzzi was formerly an Assistant Director for Counterintelligence at the FBI and is familiar with Robert Mueller’s methods.
<snip>

Figluzzi said, “We saw lots of redaction. You do that in the FBI either when you have classified information or you are at such a sensitivity level that you cannot expose it.”

Figluzzi also felt the light sentence and amount of redactions meant the investigation was aiming for convictions at the highest levels. He continued, “I think, in fact, that underneath these redactions, if we were to lift these black magic marker points out, we would see people with the last name Trump or Kushner.

Finally, Figluzzi ended the segment with a bombshell suggestion; Flynn may have worn a wire. He told the panel, “We see reference here to quick cooperation by Flynn. What does that mean? Did it happen in what we call the golden hour, where you could even wire somebody up and have him share communications in real time?” - HillReporter.com

I think that Flynn  - misguided as he was when he went off the rails with his rabid anti-muslim world view - is in the end a patriotic American who puts country first. He was certainly wrong on multiple issues, but IMO he is not a bad actor who was acting out of either partisan malice and/or self interest.

Do you have proof for that allegation?

Hypothetically, if someone is in trouble for lying to federal agents, would it be a wise decision to exaggerate or lie further to get out of trouble? Especially when those federal agents know that person had already lied?

The past tense of the Thread ignores the lack of political capital Trump possesses on this subject.

I doubt he could fire the special prosecutor at this point. Way too much evidence coming out... the public is now curious about how many Trump Hotel rooms the Saudi’s rented (500!) during 2016 to help US Vets lobby Congress.

The stock market is unstable, the economy appears to be slowing, Europe is moving away from the dollar to avoid penalties for continuing to trade with Iran. Climate change keeps slapping us on the back of the head, despite Trump telling us he doesn’t believe in it. Our farmers are tanking and auto plants closing.

Essentially, we are losing, and Mueller will, more & more, be a “way out” for Republicans.

US Vets were brought to Washington to try to defeat the “JUSTA” legislation which sought to allow civil suits to be brought against state sponsors of terrorism.

Obama used his veto power only once, and it was to defeat this bill, but his veto was overridden by a Congress rarely united by any other cause.

Trump has been largely silent on the issue, and that’s weird, since he loves the use of civil suits, hates anything Obama was for, and suing state sponsors of seems like a made for Trump wet dream.

But, he and the Saudis get along great and they do business with Trump, Inc all the time. What’s wrong with that?

Speaking of value, as of now, this investigation may actually be turning a financial profit.  The assets recovered from Manafort's lying, thieving, cheating ass (he plead guilty to essentially those crimes, so I think that is perfectly acceptable) are estimated to be worth 42-46 million.

So in terms of recovered $$$, so far, it looks pretty worth it to me.

Has Mueller spent more than Trump's golf outings to Mar-a-lago or the place in PA?  What benefit did the country receive from those trips?  How much have we spent on wall mock-ups that will never be built.

Not sure the true south would be comfortable with a prissy whacko in the WH, but since he’s white and their kind of old time religion they could tolerate him.

The LGBTQ and minorities and libs would be triggered, so the deplorables would make popcorn & sweet tea and set down to watch vids of heads exploding on FOX. It’s be great for ratings.

As much as anything else these days, a profit motive for FOX to stray  from the Gropenfuhrer is another chink in his armor. As important as any Mueller report or House investigation.

Assume for a moment that Trump is in on it with Putin- why would the stress be something that would be a problem for him?  Like stroking out.....

But how does he get out of the country and safely to Russia when the moment is right?
