WASZP - International Games PERTH

Recommended Posts

What an amazing event!

Australian Nationals - International Slalom - International Games drew 67 competitors from 12 nations across the 3 events between 18-28th January! Rory Hunter from GBR took the event on the final run to the finish creating an epic finale to the event and sending the trophy to the northern hemisphere for the first time.

Perth absolutely turned it on for this event, it truly is a foiling paradise with winds between 14-25 knots and dead flat water for the entire 10 days of racing.

The next major event is the 2019 European Championships at Fraglia Vela Malcesine 16th -20th July and around 100 boats are expected to attend!

Rory's a nice chap. Does quite a bit of RS800 sailing back in the UK. Well deserved result!

Oh, and well done to Hartas, his event videos over this summer have been great.

The drone coverage of the slalom is really good. Reminds me of a mr. Clean video of the '09 moth worlds, that he did from a top of a hill. Cool vantage point.
