Conrad's leg two :

Great video. So many sailing videos are boring but Conrad does it really really well.

And a first big split with a small group that decided to point SE towards the Bay of Saint-Brieuc while most of the fleet preferred to stay a bit more offshore...

This must be one of the most gruelling races in respect of tides and currents ever. Light winds and many tidal gates where you can easily loose 6 to 12 hours to a competitor who is only just ahead of you.                  Or VV. :)

Nice write ups on the Figaro website BTW, worth a look. Last one:     https://www.lasolitaire-urgo.com/en/news/view/leboucher-rocks-off-from-roscoff-to-lead-testing-light-wind-channel-challenge-for-stage-3

Actually a most gruelling race in many other respects, like large and highly technical one-design fleet, very high level of competitors, tiring 3 day legs with little time for recovery. And plenty of boats, big ships, and rocks to hit as well.

So that big split just merged, now the Alderney currents and go South or North TSS.

And the door slammed shut!

3 boats passed Alderney before the reverse of the tide current, in "Raz Blanchard", the passage between Alderney and Cotentin Peninsula.

Alexis Loison, Gildas Mané and Anthony Marchand made it. Fourth sailor is already 18 miles behind, and growing... Is this the turn of the whole race?

Just anchor in that bay :) It is a nice spot, lots of room...

Impressive escape from the next 2, MichDes and Le Pape.

The leading trio of boats who have slipped round alderney are mostly well down in the rankings over 10 hours. They've got about 30nm lead now, but they'd need more like 60-80 to be threatening Richhomme... still, they could be sailing in to the top ten.

Michel DESJOYEAUX one of the subsequent pair is only 4:46 back... and already has 10nm on the pack

Another one :

Doing "raze cailloux" is dangerous in this area ...
