TUBBY 297 #603 Posted November 16, 2020 Hmm, if you were a SA boat would you be reconsidering your delivery? One hopes that the time on the delivery & in Sydney would be enough quarantine, but if you are intending to fly in Christmas Day you might have problems. Our (Sydney), boat was withdrawn a couple of weeks ago for any number of reasons, so unless someone is desperate for some "grey hair" experience on board it looks like I get to watch it on TV, assuming Channel 7 bothers with no Wild Oats!

terrafirma 974 #685 Posted December 10, 2020 Anyone know who bought the PAC52 Rio ..? It's coming to Australia according to the front page? These things didn't ever get good press because of the politics but the concept of an ocean going Hobart style TP52 like Ichi ban makes sense. Off course the $$$ question is what does it rate compared to IB and how fast does it go.?

trt131 168 #689 Posted December 10, 2020 Isn't great that the TPs cant ocean race. The TP stands for Trans Pacific, I doubt any TPs in class configuration would actually race the TransPac race.
