Laurent 1,544 #2 Posted December 3, 2019 Ok, it's now official. You're crazy. You need to seek professional help ASAP. More seriously, what happens if, God forbids, you capsize? How much time can you stay in the water before you lose muscle power to right the boat? Or even simply climbing on the hulls to stay out of the water? Or even simply climbing on the hulls to stay out of the water? They are wearing wet suits. I don't know how thick but they should be OK for a while. Initially it is unpleasant as the cold water seeps in between the neoprene and your skin but after you warm up that layer of water you are good to go. If you are intentionally going in then bring a thermos of warm (NOT hot) water and pour it inside your suit just before immersion. I did a few scuba dives in Lake Ontario in January before I could afford a dry suit (or at least when the trade off between dry suit and more beer consistently led to more beer).
