Laker 231 #6 Posted January 9, 2020 I can still remember my normally taciturn father laughing loudly over a Buck Henry commercial that Buck made for Fruit of the Loom. There was a deadpan delivery about wearing Fruit of the Loom underwear coloured "Plum" and how it made him feel like Tyrone Power. Masterful.

If it comes to fruition, I hope you will feel bad for submitting me. Not that I would know at that point. So you better tell me now that at least you will feel a little twinge of remorse. My favorite was his script for 'Candy' in '68 or '69. Oh, shit. I've been saying, "Rubatubdub," whenever I scratch my back on a tree for over half a century now. I don't have a hump, though. cyclone 272 #11 Posted January 10, 2020 The Man Who Fell to Earth cast has lost another. First Bowie, four years ago today, then Rip Torn and now Buck Henry. I never knew he wrote for Steve Allen as well as That Was the Week That Was. Although he collaborated with Mel Brooks they didn’t always get along but then Brooks’ wife stars in The Graduate anyway. Peace.
