This is what I’m hoping to do this summer with my Fareast28R. It’s a little boring looking at it on the trailer

My favorite video. Great soundtrack. You do know that Ragamuffin 100 is now Scallywag?

Was wondering if it was, but should have known for sure of course. Am a bit of a Witty fan.

And good old Syd, how's he?

No idea. I'm in the US and do not know anyone involved. Someone from Australia can answer.

and fearless. Those top guys are amazing. A few years ago in miami world cup on the first day of racing, it was blowing 30 kts and the racecourse was about 7 miles downwind of the harbor. There were 2 races scheduled as usual. I figured maybe I could survive one race and then come in, using that second race as my throwout. All of my master friends wisely decided to sit the day out or go on coach boats to watch the mayhem. By the time my whiteknucked blast to the racecourse was over, I knew I didn't want any more, but then had a 7 mile 30 kt beat home. Yikes. Yes, those top finn sailors race hard in 30 kt winds all the time. They are without a doubt the most fit and fearless sailors in the world. No one else is close.

Trysail and a heavy #2 that was stuck up because it was too windy to take down. Near 30 knots surfing down some massive rollers in the North Atlantic during the 2015 TransAt. 50+ knots of true wind at the time if filming. We were getting gusts into the 60's at night, which was absolutely terrifying in the pitch black.

I guess that is the J/111 Symmetry (Hull 91?).  Is this from a Coastal Cup?  Maybe 2017 or 2018?  I recall Symmetry won the 2016 Coastal Cup Overall, but it wasn't that windy in 2016.

We just bought Hull #94 from the Bay Area.

Not sure if the linking will work. Early in the month during the 2 handed RNI (Round North Island) race we did on the family cruiser.

And heading north to North Cape

The fun we had that day was not worth the sheer terror of that night. If there was some way to experience that without the lights going out you could charge millions!

There was a great video of a small boat, racing on a lake in Switserland i guess... Storm coming from behind... boats broaching all around...  they end up dismasting...

Can somebody find it?

We had 25 minutes of 15 to 20+ knots boat speed

It was a fun ride, but not as spectacular as some of the above

The other boat is Rock'n'Roll

Location is Geelong, Australia

It would seem that all the other FPBeetches are just pretenders compared to what these Volvo's dish out in the So. Ocean.

It was bought by a guy in San Diego and is called Nereid now. I am doing the off shore stuff with them. We were signed up for Cal Offshore until it was cancelled. I would say there is an 80% chance they do BBS but it will be bit crazy as they have no miles in medium air let alone heavy air. Will be an adventure though!

A million years ago, when there was an Asia PWA tour,  he would show up in Penghu and kill a couple of scooters. One year one of the pro's went to the ER with some missing teeth before the finals. I forget his name.

Not the most epic send we've had with this boat but probably the last best one we've had & got on film. Gonna miss her when she's gone.

Here is a Wet Wednesday on my boat where the camera is looking backwards. We are doing well until the Spin trimmer lets the sheet out too far and the pole is not trimmed back and we get caught in a round down. go to the 19:00 mark.

Yes, I am on the new leeward side and buried under water. The pit falls of not being able to use my legs.

Notice the boat in the back ground prior to the round down, sails past us as we founder on our side. I was so pissed as we should have won the race.

Oh well, that is Wet Wednesday racing. Pass another beer please.

Would you be so kind to let me know where in the 24 minutes of this video I should look?
