Some people aren’t getting it

Recommended Posts

These ultra orthodox Hasidic Jewish people are disregarding all the State mandates about large gatherings and staying out of school. It will cripple our resources if they keep holding weddings and temple.

Apparently the orthodox Jewish community in Montreal are co-operating fully and even asked for help with lockdown measures. Montreal is hit particularly hard due to N.Y., FLA, and France frequent travel.

Whoever is not getting it at any level, faith, organization, etc.,  non essential gatherings of more than 2 are banned in a lot of places. Forget gatherings of 10-20-50-250.

That's so last week.

We have had two preachers (non-Jewish) in our area arrested in the past two days for violating social gathering orders. Today, in our local paper, there is a picture of another pastor with a full church saying "It's a test of our faith".

Some people just don't get it.

Ask and ye shall receive.  3 pastors have sued the city/county here over the stay at home order.  This is Houston, not BFE

Copied ..no connection to me.

Would have had to state an essential travel reason to access both Netherlands and Croatia under their lockdown rules from last month.

Hats off to first quarantining (but doesn't mention a pre-travel test so a carrier?) but then had massive brain explosion thinking this shit isn't important. Upside is his experience may help drive message home.

"He’s about 45 and has two young kids.  he posted this on Facebook today.

I’m worried we may have made a mistake.  South Carolina’s governor barred us from going to our own beach, boat ramp or outside really so I snapped.  We have been planning to head back to Croatia this month since we returned home in August. Our plan has been to get back onto our boat, Madame Geneva, and continue our journey through the Med (year 6) into August.

When this outbreak went down we took it in stride. Then got antsy, then a bit crazy, then it was all too much.  I told Kelly I needed to get out of here and back to sea so we checked with our friends in Croatia. Tudor said if we can get to Amsterdam he could arrange a charter flight, for a price, to Split and he’d pick us up and smuggle us to the boat.

We went for it.  Empty flight from NY to NED and a small jet back to the Dalmation Coast.

Tudor was there when we arrived, just as he had promised, except he was handcuffed in the back of a military van on the tarmac.  When our plane door opened we were barked at in Croatian and herded into an old schoolbus. Our backpacks were thrown in after us. Doors closed and off we went in the dark. Our phones, passports and wallets were in a bag with the large man in front.  It was already dark as we pulled up to the grey eastern bloc building and met 2 officials in hazmat suits. They looked to be doctors but they also had automatic weapons and tactical gear. We were ushered inside the dim building and put in a windowless room. Our bags laid in a pile in the hall outside. The children were scared. I was angry. Kelly tried to keep everything under control. She kept calling through the door “English? Anybody speak English? US Embassy? Americans!”  Nothing.

We spent the night in this cell not bigger than 10 x 10 feet. Alone, and with no idea what to expect, I was anxious. Several hours passed with the kids curled up in corners trying to sleep and complaining about a bathroom with no door and being hungry when a voice outside grumbled something vaguely Croatian, perhaps Russian, definitely not English. The door opened and a few bowls of flavorless food, mostly boiled meats and hard bread, were placed on the small table.

“14 days. Q flag. Stupid..” He said shaking his head.  He put my phone on the table next to the food and walked out locking the door behind him.

So we are here. Escaped the Quarantine back home to be locked in a room overseas hoping “14 days” meant our sentence of confinement.  Not sure we’ll get to sea after this is over or be sent home, or worse… We’ll send updates as we are able and as long as my phone stays charged.  Don’t leave your house. We have learned the hard way. Stay tuned. Much Love!"

Clearly this guy’s first mistake was using Trivago instead of Hotels.com to book his flights. No contest between Captain Obvious and Trivago guy when it comes to accurate travel advisories during a worldwide border shutdown. At least that’s the what those in the know have been saying.

Well yes their is something about devote religious believers not having faith in science...well you can’t really believe in both.

That particular delusion and antisocial behaviour is not limited to any particular faith.

So "God" didn't create the virus?  Or She did and that's the "test of faith"?

The "holier" you are the more likely to get it?  Or not get it?  Or it's the start of the Rapture?  Or who the fuck knows.

It's necessary to go deeply into the heart of fundamentalist religion to understand this denialist mentality.  Christian Scientists, Snake handlers, Taliban, Inquisition, all of them and more.

But it comes down to this:  Math is hard.  Blind faith is easy.

FIFY.

When you deny objective reality based on your beliefs:

  • that this time it's going to be different
  • the more pure your motives, the more valid your actions...

it's a path to tyranny if you get any power.

Some of the faithful may soon be getting a lesson about natural selection and evolution in action.

Though in all seriousness, the people they're endangering the most are pretty much out of the gene pool.

All those people and the thousands in NJ that attended 3 religious weddings last weekend and the weekend before that will be infected and overload the Jackson Township medical system. Those celebrations were broken up by the police and one man was arrested after he tried to throw a wedding party last weekend. The police also pulled over a bus load of religious school kids being shipped to school in NJ. Load of boy’s. The girls ride in a separate bus and that one made it to school to infect their NJ classmates.

Interestingly, most every Adult male is a rabbi, they don’t work, they are all students,  just study the Torah, and their home is a temple, so they don’t have to pay any taxes. Their children and families are on welfare while they drive Cadillacs and live in posh homes.

Their population has surged in this part of NJ and they have bought up homes and pushed neighborhoods out and now they may kill most of themselves off by ignorance to man’s rules.

Probably need to differentiate between anti Semitic and calling it like it is.

They are a very odd cult offshoot of religion that is about 100 years old. They are like the Mormons sects that practice bigamy, etc. Israel doesn’t want them because they refuse to do their part in compulsory military service in Israel and many live here in the US and only go back to Israel to vote for pro Ultra Orthodox policies and are generally disliked by Israelis because they don’t work and affect their National policy.

But please go on about how I don’t like Jewish people. Maybe you should join them in disregarding State and Federal guidelines and procedures. There were 100,000 Ultra Orthodox Jews in NYC and the police couldn’t do anything because of the anti Semite card, just like the one you threw out here. They left the city en made on busses and came back to the general area in which I live. I don’t think that all of our hospital beds being loaded up with the sick from these gatherings should affect you, so stay home, safe and shut up, knowing that you will carry the torch for Israel. Mine isn’t an anti Semitic rant, but an eye opener about how religious zealots are going to cause mass infection due to their religious compulsions.

Oh yeah, local news just reported that 6 rabbis have died since this Wednesday in Lakewood, the town next to mine...

the fucking bus was full of free taxpayer paid for lunches for the segregated boys and girls that had been bussed into the New Jersey Yashiva schools from New York on segregated tax payer provided and driven busses that had been caught on camera and reported by many concerned residents of Lakewood,New Jersey. Keep in mind that New Jersey schools have been closed for 3 weeks plus now and the bus was pulled over last Thursday...

Wife and I are the last people standing in checkout line at local, small grocery store.  Everyone in line is abiding by the six foot rule.  A woman, who can be heard on her phone throughout the store comes up to line behind us and stands right on top of my wife while bellowing away on the phone.  We try to edge away as much as possible, but its a small store.  After seeing our attempts to gain space, the woman barks at my wife “am I bothering you by standing here?”.   Wife replies “if you could just step back a little further that would be good”.  Everyone in line ahead looks back with annoyed chuckle.  Woman goes back to yammering away on phone telling the person on the other end that she is being treated like she has the plague.  Here’s the clincher, loudmouth then tells the phone connection “looks like it’s going to be nice weather tomorrow, so everybody is coming over to our place to cook out”.  Everyone in the line looks back and laughs.  Of course, she is clueless in all regards.

Hopefully, the only segment of the population I have offended with this story, are people that walk around talking on their phones while having no awareness of surroundings.

As for fool gathering stories…Around here, Louisville has had large groups of what appear to be teenagers and early 20’s gathering for drag racing.  I saw a FB post of a “live” event showing at least a hundred people in close proximity.   Police are trying to stop it and mayor has issued warnings.

Police have issued a warning to Scotland's chief medical officer for visiting her second home in Fife during the coronavirus lockdown.

Dr Catherine Calderwood is facing mounting criticism after pictures of her family trip to Earlsferry were published in The Scottish Sun.

She apologised "unreservedly" and said she would continue to focus on her job.

There have been calls for her to step down over the matter with MSPs describing her position as "untenable".

The lefties are clearly not getting it, and sadly in some places it's going to be terminal.

Though notably, many of them are wishing those they disagree with do become sick as above.

So much for the "peace and love" nonsense, the whiff of state compulsion is bringing out their natural tyranny. The EU fiction is unraveling as national interests are nakedly paramount. Will the polyglot fabrications further fracture along tribal lines? Spain was on that path previously.

But the message, don't vote for the US Reich, is spot on, is it not?

Or are you seriously claiming that the GOP has done a great job on the Corona-V

I'll grant that the US Reich did do a great job of fattening their stock portfolios while letting the rest of us wander around getting infected.

You misrepresented a meme from the UK for your own means! And at this moment in time I couldn’t giving a flying fuck about Trump....... can you actually post without using “reich” in every other post?

Do you regularly post any old shit you find without checking?  Says a lot about the point you’re trying to make and how you do it.

You are a lazy fuck, as proven by your own admission.

A widely circulated photo, with a great variety of language on the signs, is not a "source".

This may be the original photo - I don't know

And I have no problem whatsoever with those who repurposed it.

Do you have any idea at all of the number of flat-out lies and/or mis-statements the Drumph makes at every presser?

If you bothered to look you’ll discover this is the original and has already been misused by others, much to disbelief and upset for the innocents trying to convey a meaningful message.

Get your head out of your arse and think about what you’re posting!!

..... and as I stated, I couldn’t give a fuck about Trump and his moronic press conferences right now apart from use them as comic relief.

So call me naive....(I assure you I’ve been called much worse) but I don’t believe fighting deceit with deceit an effective strategy.

Using deceit to attack the deceptive merely removes your legitimacy.

A more effective approach is ridicule.

Calls to seal off ultra-Orthodox areas add to Israel's virus tensions

Rules enforcement highlights problem of getting message across to minority community.

It wasn’t a typical police operation. Two Israeli officers were to go undercover, although not posing as drug dealers or arms traffickers. For this particular assignment, they were to disguise themselves as ultra-Orthodox Jews.

Their mission on Friday was to bust an illegal gathering in a synagogue. People were praying together, a practice that is now against the law in the era of the coronavirus. Once the officers got inside to confirm the crowd, more units barged in and dispersed people.

Forces left the area, according to police, but: “An hour later, it was reported that people had returned again.” At that point, officers handed out fines amounting to nearly £4,000.

The operation in the county’s north was one small part of a sometimes fruitless nationwide effort to impose Covid-19 restrictions on a deeply religious and often cut-off community that has been slow, or even opposed, to change their way of life.

So News that BoJo is now in ICU while tragic on a personal note, is ironic and potentially disruptive on a national one.

The class clown was the one who originally suggested we just, 'took this on the chin'.  Fortunately our clown isn't completely retarded and took the medical advice after a short time.

Unfortunately as of today's numbers only 1 in 3 are coming out of ICU, the others are using up the rapidly dwindling supply of body bags.  He's never been my favourite person, but I really hope the silly bastard's all right.

can't help but think he may have gotten priority care and been moved to ICU a bit earlier than Joe public would have.

It's a personal test of the NHS... bon courage

Ironic, take it on the chin, ICU care Jo Public wouldn't get, a personel test and a health minister seems determined to take it on the chin...you guys all say.

Johnson is sitting in ICU something he planned to deny well north of 100,000 people and see them die. That isn't ironic taking it on the chin or a personel test, it just deserts. Why?

They are a bunch of lying cunts and trying to cover up they have known that fatality rate for 4 years, did nothing to correct it and until the 16 March were carrying that plan out to the letter. They then shat their pants.

The UK has a “Pandemic Influenza Response Plan” in fact it has been republished in 2011, 2012 and 2014 respectively. The last edition  enclosed here.

In 2016 a test exercise, codenamed Exercise Cygnus was carried out. The results were that this 2014 Pandemic Influenza Response Plan” was shit BUT it was not rewritten or revised.

Cygnus indicated grave shortages of testing kits, test infrastructure, ventilators and PPE equipment that would allow the health system to function and keep more people alive. The Government's response was do nothing and accept higher fatalities.

The cunts are now trying to cover up both the existence of the Cygnus test and that a "mitigation/herd immunity" strategy was ever implemented and they didn't to a massive UTurn.

5 APRIL - Hancock Health Sec says the claim of government’s initial strategy being to create herd immunity "has been rubbish from start to finish."

13 MARCH - Vallance, the Govt Chief scientific adviser, says the thinking behind current approach is to try and "reduce the peak" and to build up a "degree of herd immunity so that more people are immune to the disease".

RANDOM SELECTION

Jack, I use "ironic" much in the sense of your publishing charts a few days back. For Boris to be at the tender mercy of the NHS, choking slowly on a gurney alone in a dirty hallway, is just deserts, and as such ironic.

Not merely for him personally, but for the country as well. the nightly "applause pause" does not mitigate the lack of capability, in a system that has had annual seasonal problems; and demonstrates the ultimate costs of a system that has minimal to no marginal cost. When price is essentially zero, demand is effectively infinite, and any sane investment in reserve capacity immediately nugatory. Absent an incentive to improve, the cold dead hand of government takes it's transactional toll.

That the EU suddenly found the keys to the border gates when the plague was spreading and banned the export of critical supplies as well as the influx of scared citizens is also ironic, and much like hate speech laws, indicative that the vaunted union was one of convenience and "rights" will violated as expedient to protect the tribe.

In the US the 50 governors have had different responses, some better and sooner than others, but inevitably compromised by the seepage from adjacent and defiant attitudes of a free nation. It's a price paid for liberty, that of being a damn fool on occasion, and whether the over reaction of Virginia, or the non reaction of it's neighbor Kentucky, both fail when they share a border.

Having a continent wide closure and consistent freeze in place may be the best strategy from a medical standpoint, albeit the health costs of shutting down are not trivial either.

Things certainly aren't good in the UK, the NHS is currently holding up, but only just.  I would agree that Europe isn't exactly united, but there are examples of cooperation, ofr example the transfer of hospital patients between countries. I think the US has enough problems of it's own making in it's multi-tier system.

Things are pretty shit for a lot of people in a lot of places at the moment.
