What evidence is there that it spreads easily outdoors?

We do know it spreads very well inside, but its ok for everyone to go to Costco and giant and home depot without shame.  But show a picture of Jews outdoors in NY or young people on a beach in FL, and the internet loses its mind. Just saying.

Not really just their call.  They then go out to shop for “essentials” any day but the Sabbath, (when they gather in large groups)and spread the disease among the gentile population. They are generally a no soap no water kind of people and do not like to speak with non Hasids unless necessary and  they HATE being touched. They, as covid patients,  walk around the hospitals touching things and bothering staff and generally infect everything they can through their ignorance or disregard.

I think we can safely say that Controversial is somehow absurdly naive and uninformed about the U.S. and New York in particular. Why is that?

I had one particular friend who was conservative. He and his family emigrated from the U.S. in around '96 to Israel on a Kibbutz. He was a warm, friendly and outgoing person as was his family. Like pretty much every Jew in America, he was integrated into the wider world in work, friendship etc. We both had ham radio licenses, which is how we met. His entire cellar was a ham radio workroom and early internet server room (before commercial ISPs, he was a node). He had many friends who were Lubavitcher, as well as many gentile friends.

The New York Hasid communities are both culturally distinct--apart from--and at the same time completely integrated into the broader NY culture. That's really the point, isn't it?

Wow, right out of the anti-semite playbook.

Also bear in mind that many if not most American Jews are not aligned with Hasid ways. There is significant tension on various matters between non-religious Jews (obviously) as well as Reformed with respect to Hasid orthodoxy and stubborn resistance to broader health and welfare initiatives (including for instance vaccinations for measles). Yes, that's right, there are "gentile" wasp Democrat highly educated vegan mothers who agree completely with Hasid mothers but on somewhat different but overlapping philosophical grounds (anti-vaxxers).

Yup. That’s me. A liberal “boomer” that hates anything even slightly jewishy. How’s that? Except that I am conservative, a gen x, I like Jewish people and don’t drop my guard.

I do not care for the Hasid population specifically because they, as a group, have caused Lakewood Township to go bankrupt bussing their kids on segregated busses to Brooklyn for schooling, don’t pay taxes because their homes are “temples”, they don’t work, most are on welfare even though they have wealth and they tax the hell out of the healthcare system, to which they contribute nothing.

They hate us gentiles(non-Jewish, Samaritan) ala the Old Testament, but love to use our resources to better their specific group at our expense.

You are trying to defend yourself?  Rarely if ever works.  Best MO is only attack.  Never defend or justify.  Forums sense weakness and trolls pounce.

And can I rezone my house as a temple?  "Temple of the church of boats, boat repair and moorage."  Awesome idea Sail4!

Its pretty simple fucktards (jews or whoever)its not about you. Its about who you will infect and possible kill.

These insular godly groups are variations of  jim jones cults, just a different shade of stupid. They are so used to playing their particular victim card that its lost its meaning. Some of them get it and respond like human beings who are part of society, others are just selfish morons.

Unfortunately the selfish will uses the resources of the responsible, not sure what the answer is but the ultra O's will be rewarded in a way by getting hospital care and put those workers at risk.

Perhaps they should say yes we will congregate but the cost will be that we choose to die at home under our own care.... somehow I dont think so, it's more of the privatise profit (enjoying an uninterrupted lifestyle) and socialise loss (use public health ahead of others) disease.

Aer Lingus flight from Belfast to Heathrow, 4 May 2020

Quote

Aer Lingus has said it is reviewing procedures on its Belfast to London flights following a claim it was not observing social-distancing measures.

Passenger Sean Mallon took photos on a flight to Heathrow on Monday, showing most passengers sitting close together.

Almost every seat was occupied and there was "no social distancing whatsoever," said Mr Mallon.

Aer Lingus said safety was its "top priority" and any necessary changes would be implemented urgently.

The coronavirus crisis has seen all flights suspended, apart from two London services operating from Belfast City and City of Derry airports.

'95% of seats taken'

Mr Mallon, who was travelling to England for work, said airline staff did not offer any guidance on social distancing before or during Monday morning's flight, and passengers were allowed to take their seats as normal.

This is the USA air traffic right now.

We are and will continue to be truly fucked by the COVID debacle. Lock down the border, waste the time you bought. Lock down the country, waste the time you bought. Re-open the country and accept 200K deaths in the name of enough economic activity to win an election.

First of all, we never had a *LOCKDOWN* it would take some exraordinary shenanigans to get away with that legally. That's for Spaniards but they are used to that kind of shit.

Secondly, overlay what that traffic looked like last year...

As far as air traffic, there is nothing flying along the New Jersey shore line. There are usually 6 planes in view at any time of the day, other than military  transport helicopters or an occasional transport plane flying into a local air base.

Anyone that thinks they only potentially affect (or is that infect) themselves by not staying at home, not social distancing, not wearing a mask or not copious and frequent hand washing is a moron. or those who haven't got it yet (the message, if I meant COVID-19 it is already too late) this is an airborne highly infectious viral disease that does one of three things: 1. only displays as non- symptomatic which is lucky you but not those around you because you will still be a carrier. 2. can quickly kill you which is not so lucky for you but means you have less chance to spread it to your love ones  or 3 it won't kill you but will potentially damage your lungs (and perhaps some other organs) meaning the rest of your life could be dramatically impaired.

So those, whether Jews, Fundamental Christians, those who want to protest without masks by storming state Capitols carrying weapons then they deserve all they get while potentially placing an large and totally unnecessary strain on the health services.

They also only serve to add fuel to the fire of hatred of their particular minority whatever club, race or religion they are. They may worship their god but as citizens that does not give them the right to flaunt the laws or regulations of man.

and where do you think the respiratory droplets are? In tapwater? Did you even do science at school? The virus is in the droplets expelled in a cough or a sneeze and (recent research has shown) can travel up to twice the recommended 2 metres social distancing THROUGH THE AIR and 'hang' in the air for 2-3 minutes after said cough or sneeze. so it is airborne. Did your mother never tell you to cover your mouth when you cough? Why do you think that was?

This is not unique to COVID-19 as pretty much all respiratory tract infections are passed on this way which is why even with a cold, people in China wear a face mask - to limit the infection radius of THEIR cough or sneeze.

I will agree, however, that sometimes those airborne droplets will land on a hard surface where the virus will survive for a short period which is why hand washing is also important.

Sorry next time I will use words of one syllable so you can understand ;-) Or maybe I just won't bother

Sheesh!

Sorry Mad, that last response was perhaps a little harsh but we have been living with this thing here in China for over 90 days now so lots of time to read up on the research, see what has been effective, what clearly hasn't elsewhere plus have had contact with several friends from the Dongfeng Race Team days (Dongfeng is headquartered in Wuhan) plus my major (many years ago) was what would probably be called bio-science - back then we called it biology.

It's a nasty fu**er but glad to say there is an end to it if the right precautions are taken but that needs the partnership between government and people to work 100% as it virtually has done here. A couple of weeks ago sailing started again in Shanghai, in about a week Disneyland Shanghai reopens (with pretty stringent conditions is has to be said) and China has been extreme with their caution. Even foreigners who have a valid visa are not allowed to re-enter the country right now which is diametrically opposed to the likes of London where people getting off an international flight are not even temperature tested or quarantined (nuts!).

It's also late and been a long day so apologies.

This is starting to get some attention, a Costco employee booted out a customer who did have a mask on - which is the company's policy. It really seems that there are two types of people, those that get it and the Morans. Unfortunately there is a Moran-in-Chief.

Another one.

Quote

LOS ANGELES - A woman who refused to wear a face covering at the Gelson's in Dana Point is facing criticism after posting the video to social media.

In the cell phone video recorded by Shelley Lewis, Lewis is telling the employee that she has a "medical condition" that prevents her from wearing a mask, but said "HIPAA protects her from sharing the condition."

RELATED: Stay up to date on all coronavirus-related information

The employee tells her it is Gelson's store policy for customers to wear a mask and offers to give her a mask or shop for her. However, Lewis continued to refuse to wear a mask, and said the store will face a "lawsuit for discrimination."

Watch the clip, the store staff were very polite and didn’t rise to the bait.

Washington (CNN)President Donald Trump announced Friday that his administration is issuing guidance deeming places of worship "essential" during the coronavirus pandemic, calling on governors to reopen religious institutions for services.

Trump threatened to "override" governors if their states did not follow the new federal recommendations, but it was unclear what authority the President was referring to. The recommendations are voluntary.

"We thought the government was using it to distract us," says Brian Lee Hitchens, "or it was to do with 5G. So we didn't follow the rules or seek help sooner."

Brian, 46, is talking by phone from his hospital bed in Florida. His wife is critically ill - sedated, on a ventilator in an adjacent ward.

"The battle that they've been having is with her lungs," he says, voice wobbling. "They're inflamed. Her body just is not responding."

After reading online conspiracy theories, they thought the disease was a hoax - or, at the very least, no worse than flu. But then in early May, the couple caught Covid-19.

"And now I realise that coronavirus is definitely not fake," he says, running out of breath. "It's out there and it's spreading."

So, I was walking along the public section of the jetty just before the locked gate. Put my mask on and carrying sanitizer while a mexican guy fishing with his 2 sons moved back along a finger to make room for me to pass.

He made a disparaging comment to which his sons laughed (I know a little spanish). As I opened the gate I turned and said "Just letting you know the reason for the mask. I've had a fever all week and was tested yesterday and dont have the results yet"

Him, trying to gather his thoughts i.e. well this shit is real then........ "No Shit - well ummm, thanks for wearing the mask - hope you do ok man"

Wife and I have the same symptoms but we are isolating separately because I was at a client location for 7 days and returned with fever. She's in the apartment, I get the boat.

We're ok. No energy. Fever at night (lessening), Some headaches / slight sore throat, Very fuzzy brain - forget 1 minute later what you were doing or put something somewhere special so you wont forget where you put it- and you remember taking special care to do so but cant remember what you did. All that sort of good stuff. .

Must get AC on the boat soon.

Of course it may not be Covid. I don't think Old  Timers comes on this quickly though.

They've STFU about Covid when they're in hearing range and we're ignoring each other.  Works for me.  I hope he goes to his barbeque and they all catch it and wind up sick as fuck for a month.  If a few of them wind up in the ICU, it would be just fine with me.

Dead?  No. I don't wish that on anybody.

A message from our local grocer.

Hi Root Cellar Community,

I have a personal fascination with what the positive impact could be on humanity of having shared this global experience of pandemic.

And now we find ourselves here faced with a cultural disease, in a shared experience that feels new, but is not.  A profound injustice that every person is touched by differently but that none are exempt from a role in.

We have all learned to flex our integrity muscles this year. These are muscles we all have. And I think we all liked how it felt to tone things up.

We have all taken great action and made great compromise in the interest of those more vulnerable than us. We have stayed home, we have worn PPE, we have reduced our incomes and the comfort of our lifestyles. We have put posters in our windows, we have baked for neighbours, we have delivered groceries. We have been more mindful of the impact of our actions, and our words, and our time.

And now we are here. Faced with an opportunity to show our strength of humanity.

We cannot endorse unjust systems & societies that ignore equality and deem it acceptable to treat any human as less.

It feels like the world is falling apart, and it should, it is broken. We aren’t here by accident and we won’t get where we need to be by accident.  There are members of our community of planet earth that need each of us to align in integrity to create change. So LET’S CHANGE THE WORLD.

Whomever you are, wherever you are.
Be mindful.
Choose your actions wisely.
Learn.  Seek Change.
Use your voice, your heart,
and your dollars if you’re able.

I believe our community to be one that can lead by example. We need to live, breathe and act in louder integrity because we all deserve to.

In solidarity,
XO
Daisy

People have really stepped up around here. It looks a lot different than what we see in the news from Down South.

We’re fighting so we can have it like our Northern neighbors.

We just have to shake 400 years of racism and fear off. Civil unrest can do wonders for people’s perceptions.

Alok Sharma, the business secretary, has been tested for coronavirus after feeling unwell while delivering a statement in the House of Commons.

The cabinet minister has gone home to self-isolate following his appearance at the dispatch box earlier on Wednesday.

The parliamentary authorities are understood to have given the area a deep clean and MPs were at the time sitting at least two metres apart. “This was done as a precaution,” a House of Commons source said.

Our provincial health angel gets shout-out from the NYT. https://www.nytimes.com/2020/06/05/world/canada/bonnie-henry-british-columbia-coronavirus.html

Quote

That Tuesday in March was the day Bonnie Henry had been preparing for her whole life.

Overnight, 83 people had tested positive for the novel coronavirus and three more had died. The pandemic had officially broken out in British Columbia.

Standing inside the provincial legislature’s press gallery, the preternaturally calm top doctor of Canada’s westernmost province declared a public health emergency. Under her orders and recommendations, schools closed, bars shuttered and social distancing measures were put in place.

“It seemed so surreal,” she said. “I felt like someone was standing on my chest.”

That day, March 17, Dr. Henry ended her presentation with a line that would become her trademark, and a mantra for many Canadians struggling to cope under a lockdown. It has since been hung in windows, painted on streets, printed on T-shirts, stitched on shoes, folded into songs and stamped on bracelets.

“This is our time to be kind,” she said in her slow and low-pitched voice that many call comforting, “to be calm and to be safe".

In the next few months, Dr. Henry would prove to be one of the most effective public health officials in the world, with lessons for nations struggling to emerge from lockdowns.

While Ontario and Quebec, the two most populous provinces, are still grappling with hundreds of new cases every day, British Columbia has now reopened schools, restaurants and hair salons. This week, the province of five million reported fewer than 80 new cases.

“By all rights, British Columbia should have been clobbered,” said Colin Furness, an outspoken infection control epidemiologist in Toronto. The province is on the coast, above Washington State, he noted, with a large population that travels back and forth to China, where the outbreak began.

“They took decisive action, did it early without hesitation and communicated effectively,” Mr. Furness added. “People listened to her.”

I got my hair cut this week. Life is good here, no cases on the island.

Even my jaded kids love the island. If we were ever to flee the US, it would be their first choice. I guess that's both a compliment and a warning.

How confident is your 'ole flame'?

I'll put some cash down on that as well if they're willing to take the bet.

And be as socialy unacceptant and repulsive as  possible?
Although you'll never earn a penny?

Don't bother, nobody knows...
