WARNING: Math ahead

Some of the engineers at the company where I'm employed have been hard at work making a Covid-mortality model available for any of us to use. "Building a data-driven world" is the motto.

The Blog that announces it and how it came about:

https://www.thoughtspot.com/thoughtspot-blog/forecasting-covid-19-impact-over-next-two-years?publish=true

The model itself. I recommend reading the Blog just so you know how they built the model and what some of the terms in the model mean.

2nd warning - it's really depressing.

Thanks.

For those who want to dig deeper,  I highly recommend this:

Coronavirus: The Hammer and the Dance - What the Next 18 Months Can Look Like, if Leaders Buy Us Time

It's worth the time and effort.

That is a very good read, thank you. A crazy world we live in when it is worth remarking that something as old as 2 weeks still seems relevant, and it is.

Ditto on that article, a good read.  I wonder if there is an update of it somewhere. Then I went down the rabbit hole of the host site called Medium.  Fascinating.  All the vaguely related consequences of this pandemic.  Here's an explanation of the TP hoarding thing; its not hoarding, its difficult supply change shifts:  Bathroom trips are are overwhelmingly made at home now.
