Snore 248 #2 Posted April 10, 2020 Be sure to investigate the wifi interface. I have had the Vesper XB-8000 since it first came out and have recommended it to delivery customers. The single most important feature of 3rd party AIS devices is the wifi as it allows you to stream all boat data to an iPad, laptop, even smart phone. The Naviom website is light on details as far as what NMEA0183/2000 information is relayed over wifi. Also I use the Vesper to translate between NMEA 0183 and 2000 on my boat.
