Different times.  My nephew worked on that Clinton campaign and when they asked for inauguration volunteers he stuck his hand up.  He got tickets for my mom and my sister/his mom, and his girlfriend at the time for the VIP area and were very impressed, but we wondered where he had wandered off to...until we saw him.  He was on the dais and was holding the bible out between the Chief Justice and Clinton. 

Then we went to find bleacher seats for the parade.  We had our neck chains and the SS guided us to pretty good front row seats.  Except his girlfriend.  The SS looked at her ticket and did a double take and led her off to the next set of stands, where they plunked her down - next to a chair that said "Reserved, Chelsea Clinton".  

Never a pat down, no purse search, not a question asked, just a glance and an escort.  The girlfriend was totally freaked and actually very pissed off at my nephew.
