A gun with the firing pin filed down (or spring removed, etc etc), or a gun that is unloaded, cannot be distinguished from one that is about to kill you. Pointing it at another person is assault with a deadly weapon.

When I was quite little, I had it smacked into me to NEVER point a gun, not a toy gun, nor a real gun when if/when I grew up enough to have one, at another person.
