Tillerson Sums Up Trump Foriegn Policy Accomplishments

As for the U.S. standing in the world, Tillerson said “nothing worked out,” as Trump squandered opportunities with North Korea, China and Russia.

“We’re in a worse place today than we were before he came in, and I didn’t think that was possible,” he lamented.

 

He also has a pretty damning assessment of the President himself:

Tillerson, who Trump fired via tweet in March 2018 following a controversial 14 months leading the State Department, told Foreign Policy magazine this week that Trump’s “understanding of global events, his understanding of global history, his understanding of U.S. history, was really limited.”

“It’s really hard to have a conversation with someone who doesn’t even understand the concept for why we’re talking about this,” said the former CEO of energy giant Exxon Mobil, who Trump replaced with Mike Pompeo.

File under "Too little, too late", along with all the other enablers and profiteers.

That would include most of the GOP, the immediate and wider Trump family, the media left, center and right that used T's insanity as click-bait to sell a few more ads and all of the big and little tech companies that fed of him as long as possible, starting with Twitter.

Fucking hypocrites, the lot of them. They have been selling out the US and indeed most of what the western world has accomplished in the past few decades for extra clicks and a few more points on the stock exchanges. May they all go down in flames.

That's also the way I recall it, something along the lines of "dumbest MF'er I've ever met." But of course, one does not say that about the President of the United States so his official and public stance was that no, he did not say that.

I kinda wish Tillerson had decided to go more seriously into politics, he is a smart and capable person and seems to have genuinely worked for the good of the country (contrary to my expectation)
