      Abbreviated rules   07/28/2017

Underdawg did an excellent job of explaining the rules.  Here's the simplified version: Don't insinuate Pedo.  Warning and or timeout for a first offense.  PermaFlick for any subsequent offenses Don't out members.  See above for penalties.  Caveat:  if you have ever used your own real name or personal information here on the forums since, like, ever - it doesn't count and you are fair game. If you see spam posts, report it to the mods.  We do not hang out in every thread 24/7 If you see any of the above, report it to the mods by hitting the Report button in the offending post.   We do not take action for foul language, off-subject content, or abusive behavior unless it escalates to persistent stalking.  There may be times that we might warn someone or flick someone for something particularly egregious.  There is no standard, we will know it when we see it.  If you continually report things that do not fall into rules #1 or 2 above, you may very well get a timeout yourself for annoying the Mods with repeated whining.  Use your best judgement. Warnings, timeouts, suspensions and flicks are arbitrary and capricious.  Deal with it.  Welcome to anarchy.   If you are a newbie, there are unwritten rules to adhere to.  They will be explained to you soon enough.

Day 3, warm and breezy with military influence

Recommended Posts

Oh yes, my friends, the time has come. And yes, my friends, last night we somehow ended up at a sorority party at the Fleet Landing bar, and if I ever see another gorgeous, skimpily clad 19 year old, it'll be too soon. (right!)

We are going to use the SA player today, as the quality is just much better. I cannot embed, but I will link every new movie that we get up there. Breeze is ON, and we are about to go racing, lots of mark resetting right now, wind settling in a bit at around 14 knots 210.

Also, you all really need to go click on Point Loma Oufitting's link above, and enter OTW09 or whatever Tom will correct me with in a minute- get your 20% off anything in the shop or online catalog now, our favorites are SLAM and patagonia, but he's got almost everything...

In case you forget, here's the promo, something that PLO and Latis helped us with...

Melges 24s headed to the top mark, start already loaded hang on.

Genny Tulloch is really hot, really cool, and could probably sail right around 99% of the sailors out there.

here she is, and there's some other good interviews loaded from this morning as well.

I'm kind of digging the new SA TV player, Sail TV has been really good to get this done the way they have. We need to make a lot of improvements, but this shit is only going to get better.

J/24s in postponement, not sure what's going on wiht the J/boats, as the M24s storm around this short course.

Please remember to let the player load if you get choppy playback, just press pause and wait a minute, and let me know how it looks today. Our upload speeds are the best yet, the vids are flying up and I've dialed up the quality as well.

Player's fine (just looked at start of race 9).

That was a great mark rounding...though we almost got hit by a boat that sailed off the course when their spin wouldn't come down...

Sorry Alan,

Just not worth the time for one class only. I understand needing to cover the people who sponsor you, but I'm getting more out of other sites.

See you on the water

Sorry....Your video skills suck year after year and you think it's cool. And then the m24 thing. Sorry, that is not reporting as an reporter on an event.

I do like Tucker and Rev Petes stuff. That helped.

Let me pile on with a +1. You can throw out the +2.

I'm sure your style of reporting appeals to innumerable crewbies having trouble deciding what colour of glove to buy. As for race analyses, or any sort of discussion regarding tactical decisions made during the races, (even if confined to the Melges-24 fleet) there was none.

But, this is the Internet. It's easy to take pot-shots and move my eyeballs elsewhere.

Good job Clean and everybody who helped with this weekend. Thanks for sticking with the M24 class, the new video format looks good.

And for everybody bitching about the M24 only coverage, fuck off. There was a J/24 in the with the mast down.

I can't find the Tucker stuff you mention. Where is it?

Also, what do your definitions of "reporting" and "reporter" have to do with anything, Dave? Why are you in the SA forums if you want the New York Times?

Never mind...... it's what the people think that pay you. Not what I think that matters.
