I now own an RS700. It's sitting in my garage. Can't believe it!!
Thanks to the great folks at RS. The American flag design at the top is beautiful. And thanks for getting the sail numbers on there. Never would have done it myself.
And many, many thanks to KO Sailing. They put together a great package. The boat, hand-dolly, and trailer all fit together nicely and trailer beautifully. The setup is so nice I might actually trailer it to contests (once I have a clue how to sail it).
Next couple weekends will probably be spent dinking around w/ it in my front yard. Hopefully I'll get it wet at Canyon Lake around the end of March (weather permitting, i.e. 0-5 mph winds).
My Aero 9 sail is blown - it's just barely hanging together w/ duct tape, fishing line sutures, and super glue. I'd like to buy a new one, but my understanding is that it would cost close to $1,000 to buy a class legal one through RS Sailing. That's freaking ridiculous.
I don't sail in races; just for fun. So I don't care about the sail being class legal.
Is there a cheap RS Aero 9 sail that I can buy somewhere? Again - I don't care if it's class legal.
