Given the technology used to keep these things flying, putting bikes on board looks really stupid.

Humans grunting to produce energy to be used by computers with stored energy.  It's a joke.  Reducing skilled crew to hamsters in a wheel.

Give them back some dignity and power the systems properly.  Stop the pretence.

Get rid of this foiling thing, it's going to kill sailing. The kind of sailing we most like...

Most of us drive street cars, not F1 racers. Most of us (well...maybe not most here @ SA) sail 'more traditional' yachts, not foilers.

What's your point exactly?

I mean it is killing the spirit of the AC . It's not sailing it's flying

That pic of all the hulls made me think about how the whole goal of the AC50 was to reduce costs to get more teams involved.  Ironically, if they had just stuck with the AC65 catamaran they would have had another team (Prada) in that pic!

We may not have had SBTJ or GTF (not yet pictured)

One non-surprise above is the beam fairings looking identical on OR and SBTJ, at least at this point.

It took the vote of GTF (and a change of rules to make it possible for a not fully paid up team to vote) to reach the 'majority of Challengers' 3/2,  needed to dismiss the AC62 rule.

So they were 'in' before the ACC boat was chosen - ^ disingenuous, so sad ;)

The dagger board casings on Artemis look enormous compared to the other teams.

But they also have the sweetest-looking rear-beam fairing.

Are the jib tracks OD? I have seen only OR's in closeup detail (SBTJ looks from a distance to be the same) and it is not very aerodynamic.. to my eye anyway.

I think the SBTJ is one of if not the most aesthetically appealing of all the boats. Simple color scheme and nice clean lines,  it will also be nice to see the French boat when she comes out. Certainly a contrast from black and dark blue thats for sure.

Really, someone (who was that) told me they were about the same as everyone else!

That's because you couldn't see them back then! Now you can.

Good point.  I forgot about Groupama...they have been awfully silent for a long time!  So, I stand corrected, we would have had 7 instead of 6!

GTF would not have been able to afford the 62, and SBTJ would not have entered if the 62 remained. So there would only be 5 teams.

Yes, as of Mar 3 the best I could make them. Mislabeled the file name but it made the FP somehow, lol.

The far better pic is the foil-shapes one, done in CAD by a poster in that other thread.
