Once again and back by popular demand we will have a unofficial race inside the race for the 3BF. I will provide 3 bottles O rum 1 each for the first place finishers in the SH, DH and Multihull Divisions. The rules are simple post your boat name and division in this thread and you are in. I will also once again be hitting the Ed up for some SWAG that will be given out to the runners up in each division but the details on that will be ironed out over the next few weeks.

There is some talk of a couple 5.5m's sailing this year. Our biggest obstacle so far is figuring out how to get to the start line!

Hapagirl - Doublehanded Multihull on the Contour 34. Still waiting on PHRF number. Just got the sail numbers today. Old rags, but who cares? Platform is now solid.

Nah - got my hands full with 2

I'd say to add a girlfriend to get to 3, but I'd end up losing the boat faster than running into a reef.

I'm trying to get the Estuary 5.5 Meters motivated. Anybody willing to lend us a tow boat to get us from Alameda to the start...and probably back when the wind dies and we're stuck somewhere on the course? There will definitely be bottles of rum involved as payment! If I can get a tow SEABISCUIT is in for DH.

War Dog, what are we going to see you on?

Thanks,
Sully

Lots of boats coming out of the Estuary - it would just take some coordination. Maybe try posting on the SSS Forum?

On paper that sounds like it would work but having sailed on these boats a fair bit and with a bunch of the guys on them a bit more I would say that the only "safe" way would be with atleast 1 crash boat to cover the fleet. just my .02

J105 Akula is "in" for DH.

We're Gate 10 Marina Village - I'm willing to tow any 5.5 that can get close to the MV area by the time that I want to leave. It takes about 1.45hrs from my slip to the starting area without towing people, so let's say 2.15hrs to be safe with a tow. I can crash on my boat overnight and so an early start is fine. When is the 5.5m start?
