How about some local current info for those who are venturing into this for the first time and also for those of us just wanting to talk about the race?

How deep to the east do you need to go to get relief?

...oops. my bad.. i thought you said how far east do have to go to get "good leaf"

with all the aqua coming down stream and the full moon and big tides...when you feel the daggerboard/ keel start dragging, tack...but not for long...repeat as needed...

7.0 high tide @ 11:00 AM at gate....minus 1.2 at 5:30

What kind of Beer do you drink?

Newcastle or Pacifico

Should get to YB around 11ish, if I wake up early

Maybe we should plan our course based on where photoboy will be. Where and when are going to be the photo ops?

That might be more fun than fighting the monster ebb all day and picking our way through wind shadows. Hey I have an even better idea lets all just head over to Angel Island grab some moorings drink all of the Rum prizes and call it a day! :P

Is passing rum from one boat to another considered outside assistance?

Is that like considering weed a "performance enhancing" drug for that Canadian snowboarder in the 98 (I think) olympics? B)

BTW, found a ride. It's on.

Head east until you're stuck...back up up 5 feet.

It's a fucking RIVER for the 3BF. Hope there's some breeze or I'm headed to the Farallones on a Viper

Nice hijack *photo, he was asking me!
Schooner, yup I figure you won't slow me down much. Where do you put in? I can swing by the guest dock or wherever. I'm thinking about 0830, maybe 0815.
I drink Pilsner Urquell when I can afford it! Pacifico is fine :)

THREE BRIDGE 10 COMMANDMENTS (from the race deck)

1. Do read the SSI's for all the information about the race, Not just the SI's

2. Do check in 10 minutes before your start or its a DSQ. (but not all at once please)*

3. Do not hover around the start line before your start, stay out of starters way.

4. Do not anchor close to the start line.

5. Do not get in the way of ships.

6. Do not sail into restricted areas.

7. Do please let us know by radio if crossing the finish line but not finishing (It's not restricted)

8. Do have your running lights on after dark at the finish (and hopefully elsewhere)

9. Do please let us know by radio that you are close to finishing.

10. Do check out by radio if you cannot finish or retire. (If no one answers call the voicemail on the SI)

10a. Do have fun.

* Only sail number and boat name "This is 666 El Diablo checking in."
