I've had tons of questions on this as it seems there is concern that the AC site is going to meltdown. Best thing to do as a back up is to go to a place like www.justin.tv for a tv stream of the AC. Be mindful of the copyright laws in your country.

i think the stream has some security. i used the 'replay media catcher' the other day (before the ac site needed you to install their player) and it worked. not now though.

Take a look at a product called FREECORDER - which will handle audio only, although it "may" do video. I haven't had time to fool with it. Basically the audo grabs anything coming from your speaker. Comapny has other products for $$$ - but by the time you buy, event will be over.

The other day I experimented with a number of screen capture utilities.
The only one I found that was very stable and with a decent playback picture was DesktopVideoRecorder from Mediaccurate. It does not do sound, unless you can use a microphone on your desk.
But the file sizes are just HUGE and unless you're a gamer with a cryogenic cooled quad motherboard hyperdrive pc on a fiber optic connection, your computer will overheat and die long before the race is over...
