I would like to know how a B&G MHU 496 mounts on the masthead. Does it require a seperate bracket, or does the cable terminal mount directly on the masthead, and the transducer base screws directly onto it?

the instrument portion is threaded and screws onto the base. the base has holes in it for screws or bolts to the masthead. if the masthead is not flat you'll need to make a small plate. the windex may need to be relocated further back. the cable to the base needs to be supported and protected from internal halyards. di-electric grease in the socket . the cable is hard wired to the base.
