Pic is from Skandia / Cowes week. '
Looks like a mumm 30, flared topsides, twings come out of the hull just below the deck etc.
However the cabin top is a much smaller "blister" than the mumm. Also, the boat appears to have runners. The molded in toe-rail is smaller and in a different location.
Some little IRC boat ?
Any ideas ?

Pretty sure its Quokka (The office) and Shakermaker 2 (is now Sanguma) not sure what happened to shakermaker 1 could be wrong though
Its definately not an IRC boat. And I cant see why anyone would want one as the mumm an established class hence the reason why I think the baby 11.3 called the 9.8 never got past making the mould. www.u2canrace1.com

Not seen as much this year raced by them as they had use of the old Farr 52 Hollywood Boulevard, intruigingly called Red Bear and run by the Bear of Britain lot. No money changed hands, took charter in exchange for all Bear's very smart new kit.
Nice little boats, the Kerrs. Stormed the scene when new out, still just holding their own now. Jason Kerr does some good quality small racers, look at his customs of this year "Flying Glove" and "Fair Do's VI", they did really well at the Commodore's Cup.

Anyone know whatever happened to Independent Bear? I see Minx, the old Nokia/Carphone Warehouse is for sale too. Is she passed it now?

Now "Independent Bear Mark II" after modifications by Corby to restore competitiveness after RORC slammed that particular loophole shut. Now used for pay-to-play racing.

That was the previous Quokka, Peter Rutter built a Mills 36, built by 2HO in umm 1998, for Comm Cup etc. Now called Cutting Edge.
The next Quokka was sistership to "Shakermaker 2" Ker 9m IRM boats - very cool little boats, although Shakermaker was destroyed under IRM in one regatta by Unsung Hero - the ILC 30. Basically shakermaker should have been streets ahead, and they boat for boated all round the course.... The ILC 30 boys sailed out of their skins.....
I dunno where the Ker 9m Quokka is now.....
