I have a long term plan of sailing my tiger at both. I just need work to pick up and the family to give me the time away. I spoke to Harry AUS 46 and he is keen but a big ask from WA.

Saturday night we are plotting our fture adventures, be nice to know if anyone is doing these regattas....we'll do one or the other or both dependant on interest.
Would love to bring Balmain Tiger up one year to play with you. We have done it in a Blazer 23 and Spider 22 and had a ball, Tiger would be well suited, Tav and his crew had a great time in 2010, will not happen this year due to travel , next year we plan to bring a Sydney 39 up , hope I get a gig, so 2013 at earliest. Very difficult to justify the cost of the road trip from Sydney when we can race with half a dozen Tigers in Sydney most weekends.
We would really love to have you guys come South to sail One Design amongst a Tiger fleet in Widward Lewards. How about first weekend in March in Sydney 2012. Strobe, why not join us , make it a date.

Unfortunetly your titles work out to close to our state caravan show. I ham even having to give up race week for 2012 as it is just to much time away.
One day I will get it worked out.

Interesting to see how they go against the FT’s and Farr 30's.

bit of a shame (FU actually) but not surprising after the internet debacle after last years inaugural event ... by non-entrants in the division,
maybe these spectators should save their Qld welcomes for the nsw RL team, not their competitors down south who fork out and done so much to establish interstate 30s racing
and to think that southerners might hitch up and outlay to go to MIRW ! dreaming.
-----------------------------------------------
where are these Sotos? they are not racing down here ?

there isn't even a 30s division this year
Yeah there is:- NoR 4.2(x)Super 30 Class will be high performance keel boats up to 10.75 metres in length and will be handicapped using Australian Measurement System (AMS).

The way TopYacht works is it only shows the classes that have entries. So it means there are no Super 30s entered as yet.

in no small part due to -what i said above
now compare that to the other entries, 13 already in one class, that has to be a record at this early stage of the game, might be a bumper year for SBs ?
one way to get around the local hostility would be to get 6 FTs and go OD, this would negate the seemingly inevitable local vs. visitor S30 bullshit

Not sure if you are refering to handicaps but Super 30 is on AMS which is a measurement system so there can be no local bias (perceived or fact). It would be great to see a FT fleet at Airlie.

Lot of shit flying last year Chippie. Totally unjustified and unproven but probably enough to keep several southern boats away, and particularly from MIRW..
