You know I haven't checked into this thread in months but my ears were ringing. Ahh, The Bawthy, as Herbie calls it. Basically a guest house behind his home that serves as a studio. If those walls could talk, the tales they would tell.

BTW Dacapon, I was down on Canal Street and some guy was hawking bootlegged Buckeye Rooster DVDs. Looked like Digital Crush's handiwork!

Spedding is quite shy. I was at that particular gig and his was purposefully hiding from the camera. Another guy where you know all his work but not his name and face.

One last one.Herbie with Richard Durrant, who also is an amazing guitarist. Richard joined the latter iteration of SKY, which Herbie was one of the founders of. The guy on drums, Malcome Mortimore was in Gentle Giant and now regularly plays with HF.

Okay, one more in memory of Big Jim Sullivan. Herbie and Jim played on "I'd like to teach the world to sing" ... the Coca-cola jingle.
Big jim was called Big Jim to differentiate him from Jimmy Page, who in his studio musician days was known as Little Jim.
Anyhow, Big Jim died last October but the thousands of tunes he played on will live forever. While Herbie has hundreds upon hundreds of his work to make it onto the Billboard 500, Big Jim is credited with thousands. Fifty five of those went all the way to number one.He is an extrodinary guitar player.

Freebird.  Being performed live, right now, across the street from my house, by Molly Hatchet, who I never really liked well enough to pay for a ticket.  Second encore (first was a twenty minute version of Sweet Home Alabama).  They have been playing for hours, for a crowd that was cranky about being rained out all day at the fairgrounds.  I dreaded this show, but they are 100 times better live than they ever were on vinyl.  Holy crap, what a show.
