Bob Pattison, we used the A3 as a wind seeker for hours - definitely a good choice to add to the inventory.
2011 Storm Trysail Club's Block Island Race
What the camera doesn't capture is the 13 hours of 100' visibility fog we had - never saw Block Island.
A great time was had by all, and on PHRF (@51, essentially at par with a J120 for reference) we were 2nd in division and 3rd in all PHRF. Hopefully next year we'll get more boats to race this way - maybe a few of the local J111s will attempt the race, or M32s.
Many thanks to the STC for adding a PHRF option for us to compete in - IRC remains a non-sensical system for boats like this.
