Max, you need to see if your programming can be stepped up to a more intelligent level, where you are capable of some intellectual capacity greater than endlessly repeating the same two quite idiotic obsessions. You must have been a meth head, it fits your look. Something must have been wrong with the cook or the meth you smoked, to have burnt out this bad. Watching Breaking Bad encompasses my entire knowledge of meth. I'd never in my wildest dreams subject myself to shit like that or crack. On the other hand, once again, your inability to advance past that bullshit leads me to believe you've indulged in it, and it's likely why you'd choose a nickname like max headroom, cause your brain is long since fried worse than two eggs on a Harlem sidewalk on a 110 degree day, worse than the Schooner Anne's current hull paint job, worse than Regatta Dog's obsession with Reid Stowe which has likely gone to genetic proportions and like lsd be inculcated to a DNA level,, worse than Pip's personal need to warn the authorities to prevent Stowe from raping and burning down the entire Guyanese rain forest tracts of trees, worse than Timmy the Timbuktoo turkey's oft stated belief in a RS Red scare commie pinko conspiracy, worse than all the endless prognostications and predictions here that Stowe's boat will never make it to whatever destination or goal he had put forth for himself, worse than cyber & rl stalking anyone who dared breath a word of support for the man deemed as worse than Manson, on a par with Jim jones, by the followers of this thread who cry in a single united voice that they never meant anyone any harm at all. It's all good clean fun, and hey they brought it all upon themselves.

Don't worry 'Poon, Max is a bit of an asshole. Remember, those who can do, those who can't ask others to prove what they can do.

BTW, your game is definitely improving, a few more posts like this and you may approach the level of eloquence displayed by the late and much missed Lesbian Robot.

Thank you soak Ed. Although I have no memory of lesbian robot nor of being a lesbian robot, nor of being a lesbian, nor of being a robot, I can still appreciate the comment infinitely more than being accused of being a meth head or worse for the millionth time by those who would accuse rather than attempt to try to defend their own indefensibly bullheaded endlessly abusive commentary.

I assure you, to be mentioned in the same breath as the fabled LR is high praise indeed in these parts. Although I can understand how Reid's narcissism can piss people off I cannot understand how it has risen to the levels it has here except that RD et al apparently lead impoverished lives of quiet desperation in spite of their repeated protestations and their constant bleating that Reid "made them do it!" If many of them were as busy sailing as they claim I find it hard to believe they have the time to post here as much as they do. I guess masturbation can only fill so much of the void (ho!).

Encore!

nothing like a subtle ramming by a local tug to give Reid the message that the locals dont appreciate him being there. Its like parking your combi van in the middle of a freeway, and then sitting in the middle lane with a begging bowl.... What WAS he thinking ? That nobody uses the waterway ? The land adjacent to where he is tied up, is not owned by anybody ? That people really want their kids influenced, used and abused by people who live on a POS like that ???? So funny. Only a distributor and closet drinker of free russian vodka could ever think that is normal or welcome behaviour. Novel yes, welcome no....

Still on da Rusky wodka ttt. Tit's like Joseph Mccarthy's great grandson reborn in Oz, unable to let go of nipping at the heels of any possible Person place or thang that e'er dared to wear a pink t shirt or drank a stiff glass of Rusky wodka in a toast to the seeing da light of those in Oz who just can't letgo of their big bottle of Aussie vodka ( does such an entity even exist?) , and who wouldn't if given their druthers prefer to fall into a stupor with the oz kind made from dingoes and Mandingos instead of the rusky blend from the socialist Potato growing field?

Go easy on TTT, he had a very bad experience with a Russian mail order bride involving several jars of vegamite, a whip and some cheap vodka and it really scarred him. He even has trouble driving because of the RED lights!

But, but, I have seen comparisons of Stowe to the above named sailors.

Besides, I said he was approaching, not there. I mean on the Mohs scale of hardness, diamond is 10 and corundum (rubies, sapphires) are 9 yet a diamond is 4-5 times harder than a ruby or sapphire. I was just giving 'Poon something to strive for.

As far as the comparison to BG, even a half wit has more wit than BG. Hell, even RD is wittier than BG.

Size of the Catfish!
Thursday, 22 March 2012
Mar. 17, 2012
Supanam

There is one fisherman we know of in Supanam who specializes in catching humungous catfish. Catfish several feet long! Anyone who has caught catfish in the US will tell you this is huge. The fisherman dropped by one morning to show us. He uses a very big hook tied to three eighth inch line and tells us proudly that he pulled it in by himself. He reminds me of Earnest Hemmingway's Old Man and the Sea except he manages to get his monster onboard and bring his catch to the market. We hear that the fish is chopped up and soon all of it is sold. We have eaten a little bit of fresh fish here, but mostly we eat salt fish. It is very cheap and personally, I like it more than most fresh fish, especially as a daily course.

Family on the Jungle Schooner
Thursday, 22 March 2012
Mar. 12, 2012 Supanam

Alex and Rachel have now left the schooner to go on their own adventure. They worked hard on the schooner and we couldn't have gotten away before winter without them. Now our little family is left to survive where the natives tell us only one boat with a mast has been here before. There are many hardships and dangers here but we still think it is a beautiful place and the right place for us as we work hard to repair the boat. Soanya has relatives that live just down the road along the coast of the Essequibo river and I, more than her, marvel that this is her roots. The Essequibo river is by far the largest river in Guyana. The shallow mouth of the river is wide and hundreds of islands dip their jungle trees into the muddy waters. The smaller Supanam river that we are on has much darker and more clear water. The locals drink this water, but we stick strictly to the rain water that we fill our tanks with. The bamboo leans way over the water and whispers to us but the leaves don't touch us. So how do the frogs, tarantulas and other creepy crawlies get onboard? Darshen loves it here and is on a very busy schedule. I row him ashore and ride him on a borrowed bike to school. We dodge cars and goats as we say good morning many times. DArshen comes home at noon for lunch and quiet time. Then he is off to play with the neighbor's children and other kids around the village. On the schooner, Soanya and I work with young men to get the boat in shape. For the last weeks, the Anne has been leaning over to port so we could make fiberglass repairs along the waterline on the starboard side. We have hardly begun grinding the bow where layers of paint and fiberglass were worn down by the years of waves we cut through. We are busy getting rid of rust everywhere while we also sand our woodwork for varnishing and begin to bring the schooner to brighter more dressed up times. The tropical hardwoods are calling me more intensely and I see praying gods and goddesses starting to emerge. It will take a brave and well planned leap to escape back to the open seas and are open to communicating with anyone who wants to come with us on the adventure of a lifetime. We still need lots of financial help to repair the schooner and look forward to communicating with everyone who will help us. We hope to post our updates more regularly but reception here in the jungle has proven to be intermittent. In the photos, Soanya stands in a green halo while Darshen explores the jungle with his Daddy carefully guarding him.

Here's the thing dat seems to escape all you Stowe/ Hovian sufferers' --- nobody but nobody worships Stowe, he's fucking pissed us all off at one time or another. And yet he acts nicer, sails farther, and generally pisses us off less than some of the wackos right here.

I believe there can be only one explanation for a man clearly so obsessed as this, that he would qualify and be the odds on choice as the chief curator of the The Reid Stowe Museum of Art and Artifacts. He's obviously in love.

I too am amazed at the length and breadth of RD's Reid obsession..to be able to conjure up a post of Reid photos complete with captions in short order testifies to the seriousness of his Stowe Hovian illness. No doubt his playpen hallways are lined with examples such as these, ripe for possible future postings, with multiple caption choices prepared to fit his mood, ranging from the sorrowfully pathetic to totally idiotic. I sure RD was overjoyed when he saw the cat pic..."let's see, that's a real good photo, yea...I can say that Reid is smiling happily at the dead kitty, yea, that's it...that's it..and hey, what about that old sick heron, yes, I can use that too, that'll get them...yea...yea.."

Perhaps if they had toed the line of their obsession with Stowe himself, who indeed is offbeat enough to make at least some of the criticism leveled understandable at times, even on a site which dubs itself as anarchists and anarchy hahaha- no they had to mercilessly target any soul who dared say a kind instead of a deriding word about the object of their obsession. According to this thread it is a given truth of the cult of SA that I am a meth head with an apartment where I manufacture it in hoboken, and that I worship Stowe as a messiah. This is the sort of utter idiocy these sicko fuckheads repeat endlessly in their morally beneath the ground contemptible fun at the expense in their own very small minds, of simply no one.

This group of SA fknuts are totally wacked...putting down a 60 yr old man living a life of offbeat adventures with his family...what a bunch of dipshits..

Would you two go get a room or something?

You see what I am up against here, if I get even a momentary and deserved compliment from one poster, I am immediately derided en masse by the regatta dog led
kool aid drunken crowd as if I, the once and ever great Harpoon, couldn't even dare to stand beside a fucking lesbo bull dyke fuckin robot? Man, this is a tough crowd.

Max, y don't you and red and kent go find this meth lab in Hoboken I'll leave the light on for ya..u can, sit play cards whatever waitin', to meet. I'll leave cigars and lighters for ya on the card table, feel free to smoke heavily. C'mon boys step right up. Max sounds like his dead brain is just dying to inhale some more meth ASAP.

And you, of course determine that the compliment is deserved. The fact that you have no idea who LR is , or what that comparison indicates means nothing to you. How very Stowe like of you.

Just got back from the first sail of the year. The Mayor and Governor weren't waiting at the dock, but it was great day..spiritual, even. Thought about staying out for a thousand days, but ran out of beer. Oh well, it was well deserved anyway

I figure Charlie Doanne will be calling any minute now..

We still need lots of financial help to repair the schooner and look forward to communicating with everyone who will help us.

no need to answer, shame on you.

Mr. Albatros,

I remain at my computer in a state of utter and complete disbelief at your attempt to group me together with those that are obviously Hovians of the purest genetic strain.

Although I, in the distant past, may have thought of Capt. Stowe as an enterprising, somewhat determined and mildly interesting individual his true skills became woefully evident when he entered a military exercise area at the onset of HIS "Mars/Love Voyage". This to me was inexcusable.

My commentary has been insightful, (will he head N in hurricane season with only family aboard and no rudder) direct, (pipsqueak was mysterious first wife Anne) and inquisitive, (what became of squawk) and in no way has lent itself to Bongholio being labeled as Hovian.

Capt. Stowe has managed to put his family, crew, vessel and whatever reputation he had at risk by embarking upon a voyage on a vessel that any competent mariner would consider a future artificial reef.

As you well know Mr. Albatros, Capt. Stowe now finds himself in what, I believe, will become his greatest challenge. Can HE paypal his way out of HIS predicament? Will Soanya get straight and bail for the benefit of herself and child? Will the CORE Hovians dig deep, find a mark/benefactor to restore the historic vessel ANNE(pipsqueak)? Will Mr. Regatta Dog be the future curator of all things Stowe?

These questions are just a very small example of what has made this ongoing saga so interesting. To be labeled as Hovian after all these years is difficult.

Please retract or rephrase your condemning statement above.

Respectfully yours,

Bongholio

You drunk. The only reason you didn't wanna be like Stowe and sail away for a thousand days of spiritual bliss is you were afraid you'd run outta beer. I bet you never even considerEd parmaggiano cheese to go with that. Stowe would have been on the phone getting Both Heinykin and Bud to back his moonshot bid with free multiyear cases of brew for the duration. It's AA fer u Beerlycorn. Give my regards to Bill W. he'll save yer soul from a thousand days o' hell doing sacred slide slips in the Connecticut slip and slippin' up the ramp to the bar, drinking beer till the plastic boat'n u arrr both quite filled with piss.

Mr. Harpoon,

I have had a difficult time with my cerebral attempt to determine whether you actually know Capt. Stowe or are just here for the sport of verbal jousting.

So, I have decided to ask you just one simple question in the hope that you will answer to the best of your ability. The question is simply this:

Why does Capt. Stowe not seek gainful employment if HE is in such dire need of currency?

I look forward to your response.

We have hardly begun grinding the bow where layers of paint and fiberglass were worn down by the years of waves we cut through.

Erm, has Reid somehow been sailing through a different, far more abrasive, sea than the rest of us get to sail on? I've seen abrasion damage at the bows of boats, but only when they've been playing with river ice, and even then the ice has to get fairly thick (a couple of inches or more). What's the betting that his main problem is rusty metal causing the fer-a-lyte to spall off (in a similar way to concrete cancer affecting buildings)?

I'm also wondering how he's actually going to make effective repairs, as if he's just using the same techniques her used to build her he's going to discover that polyester resin does not bond chemically with cured polyester resin, so anything he slaps on is likely to crack off again sooner rather than later.

Yep, Reid has been sailing through mystical waters that somehow thins the fibreglass ferrolyte under the paint at the bow. Too much white powder mixed into the resin there Reid. Thats what comes from using leftovers....

And they honestly think they can still the waters and lean the boat enough to get the salt water out of the cracks under the waterline chip open the cracks and somehow get polyester resin to stick to it and the rusty metal they find there ?. Bandaids on bandaids there Reid baby. Just pray to Vishna, and somehow the polyester resin wont totally fall out of the upside down or vertical gouged open cracks, before it sets... Your welcome is wearing out there too Reid. Just ask the locals if they mind not making waves for the next 3 months. Mr popular I dont think so.

Poon:
Two serious questions

1 - As has been asked 10,000 times, why is it that Reid can't get a job to fund his boat repairs like the rest of us?
2 - Seeing as contributions are being washed through a clean water charity, can you tell us if the river they are anchored in is cleaner or dirtier since their arrival? I have a vision of shit and tons of sanding/scraping/chipping residue falling into the river we just learned the villagers use as drinking water.

It could be as easy as a post like this from Reid:

To because of commitment to clean water, every morning before we start work, we carefully arrange tarps to catch the material that falls of the schooner as we chip way on the sides. At the end of the day we pull the tarps aboard and collect the material so we may properly dispose of it.

Earlier this week I fabricated a composting toilet and installed it in the hold. Every few days we collect sawdust from Nato's boatyard. We spread the sawdust over the waste after each use. This almost eliminates any odor and speeds up the composting process. We will be carrying the composted waste ashore from time to time and are researching if it would be safe to use as fertilizer.

Or this from S:

I find that the arts and culture are not as prevalent as I had hoped. I am currently meeting with as many as locals as I can to discuss what types of activities might be beneficial for them. One option is that I will begin offering once-a-week free classes in art to children from Darshen's school. The classes would be held after school hours.

Yeah, it really would be easy to show honesty, integrity, openness and a commitment to doing what you say you will do.

Sure!

I have been sailing since the '60s and used to do quite a bit of offshore and one design racing. Taught sailing while in college. Did a bunch of deliveries in my 20s. I ran a family owned rigging shop and chandlery in the '70s. Later I was a representative for several marine equipment manufactures all of who you would know. Then I became sales manager for an autopilot and instrumentation company, after that on to a maritime safety company, again you would know both of them.

Later I want to work for a (gasp) company that makes power boat equipment. You see I have to make money to pay my way in life.

I taught my daughters to sail, and participated in Special Olympics sailing with one of them.

These days I am not sailing much at all. I have many commitments that I need to take care of so that I may return to it.

If you want more particulars I will send you a PM when I have the time. . .

If you want more particulars I will send you a PM when I have the time. . .

Thanks!

Don't you just love the way Tampoon and Scaredy Cat can never answer a direct question.

Frankly, Tanpoon's obsession with RD with all of its sexual undertones is becoming quite disturbing.

I know, "STFU Tabass". I thought I would save you the trouble Tampoon. . .

How about "Let me see your sailing CV Tabman".

Been sailing since I was 14 when my dad bought me lessons. Took to it like a duck to water. Sailed on and crewed on charters in the islands. Eventually took to racing and raced locally on boat's in the 20-30 ft range. Began cruising on friend's boats and put about 20,000 offshore n.m under various hulls. Worked my way to watch captain. Did paid deliveries with inexperienced owners. Raced and cruised Bermuda, East Coast to Caribbean, Florida to Mexico, up and down the coast north to south, local round the buoy mid week stuff and various weekend regattas. Boats I've raced on as crew collectively have won enough pickle dishes to fill a large room. Did some sailing in the Pacific, one rounding of Cape Horn, and I don't appreciate being referred to as Tampoon Tabass.

I know you don't mean it this way, but every time you use the phrase, ". . .and put about 20,000 offshore n.m under various hulls."' I get this mental picture of you lashed to the bottom of a boat. It makes me chuckle.

The only reason such a keel hauling image makes you chuckle tabass, is cause you've been turned by this thread of haters into somewhat of a sailorphobe. And I would imagine I am in no immediate danger of you acting out yer newly proclaimed adoration.

when anybody says anything of value on this piece o'crap I am generally silent...Perhaps this accounts for my at times angry verbosity.
To you it's entertaining to consider me being dragged under a hull for twenty thousand miles. Hohoho, what a laugh riot. Perhaps you should consider a change in your thinking about fellow sailors for your soul's sake, or perhaps you've gone to the dark side ne'er to return from shore as a man of the sea. This thread has long lived on the suffering of others as its lifeblood for 'entertainment' value. If there is nothing in your intellect which can consider that, I guess you think this is me clucking as a chicken and dancing for your sit at home entertainment. You are a moron, ya know that? I don't wish you harm you idiot. It's your use of the overly dramatic phrase, Miles Under My Hulls like you are a turtleneck wearing, pipe smoking, Greek fisherman cap wearing old salt. It's the use of the words that conjure the mental image you dope.

You are a pompous ass who reads things into what people say that just aren't there. Get the fuck over yourself nobody wishes you harm. Can I be clearer?

Your plagiarizing of John Masefield and corrupting it into an overly dramatic and sophomoric signature is pitiful, and proves my point perfectly.

I have made my living on and around boats my entire adult life and I have run across many like you and frankly you are a fool.

Isn't that just the sweetest response you could muster. I rest my fucking case. Btw, I haven't read Masefield, although I am certain I have read at least as many books on sailing or more than you. How in God's name can you be certain that you have read as many or more books about sailing than I have? Talk about being a pretentious pompous ass! Due to my line of work I have read thousands of books, manuals, papers etc.. So maybe you have too, I really don't care.

What are you Jesus Christ now, forgiving me. Leave that shit up to Reid, since he is indeed your Messiah.

Harpoon, Randy, Joe or whoever you may be, see if you can both lighten up and harden the fuck up at the same time.

Oh yeah, you never heard of this in all your extensive reading?

I must go down to the seas again, to the lonely sea and the sky,
And all I ask is a tall ship and a star to steer her by,
And the wheel's kick and the wind's song and the white sail's shaking,
And a grey mist on the sea's face, and a grey dawn breaking.

I must go down to the seas again, for the call of the running tide
Is a wild call and a clear call that may not be denied;
And all I ask is a windy day with the white clouds flying,
And the flung spray and the blown spume, and the sea-gulls crying.

I must go down to the seas again, to the vagrant gypsy life,
To the gull's way and the whale's way, where the wind's like a whetted knife;
And all I ask is a merry yarn from a laughing fellow-rover,
And quiet sleep and a sweet dream when the long trick's over.

I call bullshit on that.

Prove your worth Harpoon.

Answer three questions.

1. Do you know if Anne is discharging human waste into the river where she is now moored?

2. Do you know if while chipping the sides of Anne any measures are taken to contain the material from falling in the river?

3. If you do not know the answers would you be willing to find out?

I will, in return, never call you Tampoon again!

I call bullshit on this one. Why would anyone believe this hype, from a self confessed media guy, with a proven history of writing falsehoods, and whose facebook page says that his only sailing experience has been once sailing on a J24 pleasure cruise for the day ?And when I revealed this here previously, Harpoon locked his facebook page so that others couldnt see it. So full of gas Harpoon, you are even more reidiculous than weido himself in your pathetic ingratiating efforts.

Hey Tab - I could use some advice from an expert in Midwest farming equipment, like yerself. I've had a couple conversations with the seller, Tom, and he doesn't seem to be willing to negotiate. A '96 GP Drill, stored outside for $23,500?

Here's the ad --

I have a 1996 Great Plains Drill for sale. It has always been stored inside, and it is in great condition! We always take great care of the eqipment on our farm. Description: 45 foot air hoe drill. it has new points. it has a 250 BU tank. 60/40. This fine piece of equipment will be a good addition to your farming operation!

Posted Image

What do you think, Tab? I could get a '94 for $18,500 that was barn kept, but the danged thing is all the way up in Hastings, Nebraska.

Love to Clara and the kids, and I'll see you at coffee tomorrow. Bring your wallet for the 4-H club pancake breakfast raffle. Danny has a great chance at the Blue Ribbon this year, as long as Billy Thompson has that cough thing going on. Mariam insists it is just allergies, and an early spring.

PM me about the drill, Tab. If you can get it for less, we'll split the savings 50/50?

Dog,

The Great Plains grain drill is sure a fine piece of equipment. But for my money the International 510 is the way to go. Zeke down the road has this beauty for sale for $15,000.

Zeke lost his hands in it last year so he wants to get rid of it. A little pressure cleaning and it would be good to go. Plus Zeke still hasn't found his wedding ring, so who knows?

Ah, Harpoon, I would have you on ignore except for your outbursts which are hysterical. Here you are , the self confessed media guy and ghostwriter of Reids posts, fabricator of sailing cv's, giving his expert opinion on what constitutes the outer limit of truthfulness. If they had a passport for mental imaginings, yours would match your drug addled brain (stamped to a pulp).

We missed you at Donna's this morning. Everyone was asking for you - first time you've missed a Saturday morning coffee since Clara had that surgery back in '84. Hope you are OK? Did that vinegar soak thing work with Clara's corns?

I mentioned the 510 and Jimmy brought up a very good point about getting a free and clear title after he called his cousin Tom. As you know, Jimmy's cousin Tom is a lawyer down in Ellsworth. He advised not doing any business with Zeke until he can either sign the paperwork himself or has someone with power of attorney. Tom told Jimmy that power of attorney might be an issue as well, because Zeke has to sign that over too. I suggested they go on the internet and figure out how that famous physics guy in a wheel chair pays his cable bill. Tom's looking into it, but don't tell Zeke. We all know how proud he is.

I know it has been 20+ years 4th of July cookout at Zekes, but I'm thinking we should have it my house this year. I don't have a horseshoe pit, and that might make Zeke feel a bit more comfortable. Donna will bring some straws and a counter stool to put next to Zeke's lawn chair.

How often we take our fingers for granted.

Best Regards,
Farmer Tab

Does it come with the Pluckomatic 400Z battery hen accessory ? Its a bugger to have to pluck the feathers off 400 chickens a week with your teeth. Enough to make you think about emigrating to Ireland and going back to planting tatas..

"Emigrating to Ireland?" Mother England sent your great, great, great gran-dah down to Australia for stealing a loaf of bread.

I don't think Ireland wants you back - blood lines, sheep colon health, and what not.

You can join me and Tab in Norton Kansas if you've got a strong back and ain't allergic to a 12 hour day during harvest.

Ive driven past Tabman's red barn in the early hours, while driving home from yet another Norton Progress Society meeting, and seen those feathers flying, and teeth gnashing, and I gotta say, those 12 hour days pluckin chickens with teeth isnt my idea of fun. Has Tabman thought about hiring a generation of kids from a local Guyanese village ? Oh thats right, theres a law about that now...

You're that Australian, feller, using Google Maps street view to "drive past" Tom's barn? You definitely aren't from here. If you were, you'd know that the nearest Guyanese village must be at least 500 miles from here, and we don't pluck chickens with our teeth. A dip in the boil for a minute or so and the feathers come off the bird pretty easy.

If you've got nothing of value to share about used farming machinery, we'd appreciate it if you'd stop meddling up this blog and find something else to do with your time.

hmm,
Rd you are short on bones again. Gettin too close to the bowl again huh ?
Actually since the day Zeke won the title of grand supreme apple bob champion, he's become pretty good at plucking chickens out of a boiling cauldron with his teeth. In fact, his wife (your sister) shares your bucktooth hilbilly genes of being able to eat an apple through a picket fence (or a cell wall). Comes in pretty handy at visiting times, or when the still breaks down huh ?

Just as long as the battery hen carcases you drop down the well dont pollute the groundwater too much... Hell, then we'd be getting visits from the clean water self proclaimed media guy (no not the dead one- the almost mentally dead one.. Tampoon).

Where were we again ? The merits of used drills over other brilliant harvesting machines designed by my ancestors, such as the Ripleys Stripper. Yep, seriously, google it.

SNAP.

Speaking of farming... this probably goes here.

It's the US' first house to be made from hemp, the fiber that's harvested from cannabis plants. ...

Mixing hemp with lime and water to create "hemcrete," the house was built by eco-friendly construction company Push Design, after successful builds in other corners of the world. In the US, however, the supply isn't that great as it's illegal to produce it, so the cost of importing hemp from Europe makes the whole project much more expensive.

This particular house was built using hemp from the UK...

Yes we missed the coffee 'cause Clara's feet were acting up something fierce. We tried the vinegar, but all it did was stink up the place. Clara's sister Mert suggested soaking her feet in boiled kerosene, so we will try that later.

Actually Zeke seems to be adjusting well to his new hooks. But yesterday he tried to wipe his eye after some dust got in it, well long story short, don't say anything about the eye patch when you see him. Oh yes, his cows get pretty skittish come milking time.

I'll write more later, but right now gotta put that kerosene on the stove to boil for Clara's feet.

She was a little behind.
The hustle on the schooner had been happening for the previous ten years or so.
Just saying.

Jeebus, but that brought back a few memories. Thanks JP. Now I'll have The Brothers Gibb ear worm this week. I know the video isn't the brothers, but I'm digging it just the same.
