What Issues to look for in used tiger ?

Well I can see that the Betts rudder is a must have ? What other known issues are there with Tiger over say #50 ?

You're going to get a lot of different opinions here, my 2 cents:
1. The answer depends on what you want to do with the boat
2. If the casette is OK, then spending $3k on a new sail is a better option
3. There aren't any real issues with the boats, assuming they've been maintained.
4. The builder had a few modifications that should be in place on all of the boats: mast step, turnbuckles, mast / partners clamshell and proper collar.
After that its a case of what upgrades you want.

If it's an early hull that came with a factory kelp cutter, you'll want to do a thorough inspection of the keel. My keel (hull 23) was replaced under warranty after failing and filling the keel with water. No cutter now, sealed up tight.
