He who dies with the most toys wins...
So Syd's collection up on the hard at SCM now has an IMS 50, a TP52, an Elliott 100, a Dubious 90...
It's good to be the king?
he who dies with the most toys still dies....

Loyal is still in its berth in Rose Bay not at SCM
Well, Lahana is listed for sale so maybe Syd is "negotiating" over a price for Loyal now?

I was driving, looked over and couldn't believe I was seeing spreaders and top of a mast that high up! I suspect it is Loyal?

And what it is beneath the several metres of mast that appears next to the footpath on the northern side of the ANZAC bridge at Sydney City Marine?

GR is at SydCM. It is owned by Geoff Hill from Hong Kong. Syd brought a share of it I believe. It was sailed down after the China Sea race. They were going to do S2H on it, but I think that idea has been canned and Loyal was chartered. Rumor has it Syd and Geoff are not getting on to well and GR is in pieces at SydCM awaiting updating.
Yes, sharing a boat/budget with Syd would not be everyone's cup of tea.

Still here Mad...still not racing...still charging wedding couples for taking pix on deck.
Singapore sailing federation had absolutely no idea how much it costs to campaign a yacht of that size when they committed to it. I remember the big press release/media coverage, "And they have a $100k budget for campaigning the yacht in the Asian Circuit." Uh...ya. That'll get you through the first regatta...not the repairs or the delivery home though.
Awesome that they (SSF) went for it, of course...but why oh why didn't they just ask one of us about running costs?!
