I am looking for a foredeck / bowperson interested in racing aboard a IMX-38 in Toronto’s LORC circuit, IRC 1.
Although this IMX is new to us this season, our previous boat, “Five-Fifteen” had very respectable race record. The crew is genuine, loyal, extremely friendly, and welcoming. The skipper, competitive and quietly intense. We are a true team, and as such, we form an oddly successful chemistry that keeps us consistent, and on the podium, a couple of LORC Championships, an IRC Canadian Championship, 2009 IRC Lake Ontario Boat of the Year, 3rd in class at IRC N/A's, that sort of thing, we are also realistic and have adjusted our 2012 expectations with a new boat and all.
You will definitely be King or Queen of your domain, and with teammates at the mast and in the sewer, the front end will operate like a well-oiled machine.
Party?? Oh yeah, we party, no one goes thirsty here, the icebox was the selling feature of the new boat, it’s the freakin’ huge!!. Fun and good times are a prerequisite and fully expected.
Along with the LORC schedule, participation in club racing would greatly be appreciated, unless of course you are a total Rock Star. Club racing is our practice night, and it will either be Tuesdays at ABYC, or in Wednesdays 3 club series out of Highland YC at Bluffers Park.
I also require the same for the J-22 out of National YC on Thursday evenings, and the local J-22 circuit.
Check us out, we’re a decent bunch.

Is this a "Union" or non-union position?

The gravy train is over, and no more jobs for life!!
But it definitely remains a "Union" position.

The J-22 may start racing on weekends in April out of National.
The IMX-38 will be ready to sail first weekend in May, with the first club race May 9th out Highland YC.
If interested in either boat, please let me know.
Thanks.

Alright, the two bow spots appear to have been filled.
Now we are looking for someone to do bow on the J22 for the next three Thursdays at National YC, May 11, 17 & 24 and the TS&CC regatta May 19-20.
This is a great opportunity to get involved in the Toronto's growing J22 fleet.
