As long as Winnipeg is in the Southeast, and realignment looms, you have a good shot. Realignment without adding a team in the East and a team in the West is going to be nearly impossible.

17 minutes of penalty time? fuck. those delay of game penalties were brutal, 5 minute major, sedin sitting on the bench watching kessler/burrows kill penalties...that will make any opponent look good. having said that LA has quick doughty, kopitar, williams, carter and richards, that's pretty high end talent.

I think it was clear that Crosby is unfairly on the receiving edge of some unneeded bs to throw off his game ... he's talented enough not to take the bait, but he does it anyway. I understand why Crosby perhaps felt it necessary to change the momentum, but they're cooked, and that just pushed them over the edge to burnt.

With the exception of Pikka Rinne and Elliot/Halak, all the real interesting tending is happening in the East ... Theo in Florida, Andy in Ottawa, King Henrick, Flower.

Then with the fights, total of four games suspension with the Sens-Rangers series, pretty cool, suddenly Eastern Hockey looks like Western Hockey used to ... undisciplined and explosive.

Just minor stuff, they did a good job of not getting drawn into the muck,.Timonen probably could have kept playing, but I agree that he didn't seem to instigate.

Aside ... I knew about Polo even as a tiny kid. In grade school we received little flimsy books to bring home and improve our reading skills. I received one on the Apollo missions, one on Oscar Robertson and one on Dennis Polonich, the point of the book being that even little guys can be tough.

He was a bit of a hero to me, especially one famous fight where he beat the hell out a defenseman twice his size. I liked the idea of being able to beat up bullies much bigger than me. Never was able to do it,.but I liked the idea.
