My buddy has just fabricated himself a Control Switch panel. It's not very big, but he wants it varnished. I recomended that he go with a cheaper option since it's not a lot of wood, not in the sun, and especially since there is NOTHING else in the boat and when he starts putting stuff back in and if he needs or wants to change it it won't be too much wasted money.

What would be some good options for products like that?
