Then, I noticed a slogan they were alternating with their logo. 'LEAN FORWARD'.
This sounds uncomfortably like 'BEND OVER'.
Is this gay marriage thing going to be made mandatory next term?

I had the news on today. CNN was covering the commercial resupply shot to the ISS. I flipped to Fox and they were wall to wall coverage on some guy trying to sneak the head of the disembarkation line an an American Airlines flight. MSNBC had talking heads chortling about how Obama had Romney on the ropes.
Then, I noticed a slogan they were alternating with their logo. 'LEAN FORWARD'.

Yes, and unfortunately the Homosexual Obama Marriage Order matching software currently has you paired with Bull Gator; my sincere condolences.

Say, that isn't the case where Obama said "Are you or have you ever been a member of a Chistian Church" is it?

You know what i love, when the right promotes how Obama's christian minister had a major influential role in his life and then turn around and claim he is anti-christian or even better a muslim. Fuck, at least pick one or the other. That or accept he is a moderate who believes in maintaining the secular nation our founders intended.
MacCarthy would fit right in to the current republican party, hell mittens could use one of his speeches without even garnering a flinch. THAT is scary.
Liberal is the communist, even if the liberal in question is a moderate. Just what the special interests ordered.

There are a LOT of arabs here that are as black as any of the blackest "African Americans" along with some lighter black and dark drown arabs. I'm betting that 2000 years ago, the majority of the fertile crescent and the land of Jesus were all VERY dark black. Certainly not caucasian looking.

They incorporated the current thinking of American whites at the time of their founding within their theology. Blacks were not fully human, certainly not humans like they were.

That probably explains why Joseph Smith converted a number of blacks into the early church and elevated some to senior leadership positions. No doubt it influenced his anti-slavery platform when he ran for President.

A lot of Mormons were killed because the church was considered a threat to slavery.

Don't deny that the Mormon church had many racist things against blacks, you'll risk your reputation. Not that you have one worth defending, or anything.
If I were you; I would be more concerned about my own prejudices. When you let go of your own hatreds, you’ll be in a better position to lecture.
PS try and be original. Plagiarizing my lines is insulting to you.

The Trinity United Church believes Jesus is Black. There was nothing critical in my post. I asked only how that person would categorize that faith.

But the real question is what color is his brother, Lucifer?
Pete: I've always wondered, what's the devil look like?
Ulysses Everett McGill: Well, there are all manner of lesser imps and demons, Pete, but the great Satan hisself is red and scaly with a bifurcated tail, and he carries a hay fork.
Tommy Johnson: Oh, no. No, sir. He's white, as white as you folks, with empty eyes and a big hollow voice. He likes to travel around with a mean old hound. That's right.

It reasonable to accept Jesus as a white man. He was fabricated from the imaginations of white men. Why would they imagine any other race?

Don't confuse the current state of many evangelical churches in the US, with actual history. Whether you believe Jesus was an actual person or not, it was not a bunch of guys that look like Pat Robertson that first practiced what we have come to call Christianity today. Likewise what was actually practiced back then bears little resemblance to what is practiced today, at least for the most part. There are a few denominations which might surprise you, and some that are even fairly progressive. http://fcnl.org

Worth noting NY kicked them out, but was OK with the Amish, Mennonites and the Onieda cult (the ones who made flatware). The abolitionist movement was strong throughout the area in that period and remains just about the only positive movement that first came, in large part, from devout religious activists.
