I don't think that is photoshop in any sense more than it has been run through a hi-def (HDR) filter.

Actually it was photoshop.
The blues were given a light purple hue. The reds were extenuated, with the silver more of a purple hue as well.
There was tone editing and contrast altering, overall it looks the same more or less, but its a entirely different image.
