The card was the race after Steinlarger 2. THere were only 2 ketches in that race - S2 and Ficsher&Pakel. The boat that be The Card was NZ Endeavour with Dalts skippering
Was in the '89-90 Whitbread as a Swedish entry I think. Ted Turner owned it at one stage. Lost the mizzen when a spectator boat got too close just after the start in NZ. Sistership to the NZ boat that won the Whitbread. (name escapes me for the moment.) Did the Hobart in '99 I think as Nokia. Farr maxi.
Had fun sailing it up here. Sad to see it go.

While Steinlager 2 (Blake), Fisher & Paykel (Dalton) and The Card (Nilson) were all Maxi Ketches out of the Farr office they were all different in hull design, length and rig.
