yeah - pathetic.

Additionally the OPEN J24 Worlds in Sept '12 have "only" 41 entrants to date... the OA was hoping for 120+

(yikes)

At least we have a good chance of being in the top 20.

I and a couple of other USAers had thought about going. But the economy is really weird right now, we weren't confident as to the quality of the charter we'd get, and I have too much sailing going on this year in any case (a week in Houston for the Midwinters, a week in Newport, RI for the NYYC QS, a week in Tawas for the NAs, A week in the BVI for the NOOD Championship and a week in the BVI for vacation. I really couldn't do another week in France.

Sailing in France? How horrible is that? Not.

It is up to 30+ boats so a little better.

Arrived yesterday and got the boat measured and put in the water. Glad weigh in is over- can eat now.
It is amazingly beautiful here between the Atlantic and the gulf of Morbihan. Windy and rainy today. Tomorrow should be light and sonny with the wind building throughout the week. Practice race is tomorrow. I will post pics.
