Link on the front page to Rick Tomlinson's website. Really great boat porn in there. I saw this one of Drum from the Whitbread Gallery and thought it was a cool picture. But HOLEE SHIT that's a lot of winches!

No wonder the keel fell off.

Interesting how there are only 2 sails up, but all of the winches are loaded. What's up with that?

Can you please edit the thread title and close those parentheses - my OCD is working overtime on that one.

Really cool picture though.

No worries mate; the preventer is on!

I love the Line 7 one-piece foul weather gear. And it is the same color as the waves!

Brilliant.

Are they collecting rainwater in that main or is that the poor man's water ballast?

You found the wench among the winches! As I went through the gallery that one struck me as smokin' hot! Looks like she can really drive and not just posing.

Mesh jibs were to stop the kites getting wineglassed (wrapped round) the forestay. Can just about remember seeing/using one, a long time ago though.

Yup I sailed a 65 with Brad Avery. We had the main up, the spinnaker up, blooper up, staysail up, mizzen up, mizzen staysail up - everyone got a piece of string to pull; at least a winch to haul on. It was only blowing about 15 and we went from 9 knots to 9 1/4 knots with the new gear up. You couldn't see from the back of the boat with so much sail up.

Gawd, those mid-deck working cockpits were horrid for racing.
