Papadeaux is good chain stuff/not special, Landry's on the island is consistant, Clearys (sp?) for oysters in season, couple of places in the strand; saltwater grill, Rudy and Paco's (central american food, but does great fresh catch), not sure if M&M at the palms on 21st ever re-opened. Yagas for good and casual food.Really Rick?

Or, if you want an Asian influence with your fish, go to Merlion on 4th in Seabrook.

A little bit out of the way, but you want to go to the Topwater Grill in San Leon or Hillman's Original Fish House in Dickenson.
Trust me on this one.

Enjoy! We are going to top water grill. Hillmans isn't pulling up on urbanspoon
And remember, the advice you received here was worth exactly what you paid for it...
Seriously though, I've never had a bad experience there at all.

really all the way to the gulf and you're going to eat off the shelf / frozen crap...
The ONLY place to go is Outriggers... it's under the bridge at the south end of clear lake next to the channel to the bay... and when I mean under, I mean under...
btw , you can run your dinghy right up to their dock if you so please... parking is tight and its very popular with everyone... flip flops, shorts, and a t-shirt is all that's needed..

Another place that friends rave over is Gilhooley's, not far from Topwater. My personal experience has been mixed.
And as long as we are talking about Clear Lake (well now we are) a new place Cock and Bull just opened on Nasa1. Still under construction so seating is limited. Great selection of beers and people who know what they are. I've managed to hurt myself in beer edification class.

Next time you and friends are in Corpus Christi and have the energy, take a crowd. They serve family style and you'll want to try some of everything. Trust me on this one!
