Anyone got a weather forecast ?
There will be wind.
Varying from 0-100 knots.
There will be current. Going either N, S, E and or W.
There shouldn't be anything relating to my image. But who knows.

one thing guaranteed about the great race is that the boxing day Chanel 7 race coverage will only consist of 2 or maybe 3 boats.

The media coverage really is a slap in the face to the other 99% of crews who battle it out each year to get down to Hobart!
I guess the average Aussie just wants to see the big "fast" boats!
With you on this one. Mark Richards is another AUS legend who has achieved SO much.................a decent current V70 would beat them with a good crew. And it just may happen.

Looking at heading down to Hobart again (I live in Tassie anyway) and doing some reporting again.
Last year was fairly last minute, well actually I had no idea I was going to do it but after the success of the thread I'm going down a bit more organised.
Was going to try to get a dinghy but I think it will be better from the shore and I will have a laptop with internet and my own binos this time!!
Unfortunately the chances of another finish like that are fairly slim but I'll be there anyway.

In the current Yachting World. €1.35 mill euros.
Lying Alicante.
Also in YW is NZ Endeavour. Winner of 'Sidney to Hobart'. Bit of history for a cool €210,100

Apparently. New Rudder in a couple of weeks.
Innovative Composites (formerly Sydney yachts) working frantically on the replacment, should be ready to go in late next week in time for LI-BB race. Very disappointing result for us, given that at the 100nm mark, we were on the pace (for a little yacht). I wonder how many more tests & ordeals we must endure before we start in the big one!
