Just received a confirmation that a little bit of MSG is coming to SF next month. Now I just need someone to arrange for the girl to take a ride on a AC45. I guarantee she will not throw the trim out or get in the way. Afterwords, maybe a trip up on the GG for a view and sprinkle in the ebb tide.

Another pair of her combat boots are hanging in her favorite ridiculous little pub, The Backstreet Bar, in Beaufort, North Carolina.

I'm going to visit them later this month.

Well, cocktail hour last night was wonderful with Catherine in the house. We had a great time, she drank me under the table.
With the current planning in place, I think she would enjoy a nice babbling brook encounter with the American River at the Gold Discovery Park.

We recently had a 4.6 billion year old meteorite come down upon us as well and it is of the rare type that offered life to earth, (CM type carbonaceous chondrite). Fitting for the star dust to meet MSG again in her basic elements and flow to the sea. So she will be in the NorCal sailing arena for a while.

Catherine and I talked about being one with the cosmos a good bit back in February and March while we watched the conjunction of Venus and Jupiter in the night sky.

Someone in California asked me to send him some ashes a few weeks ago. Well, turns out he is an AC45 sailor.. Shortly after I sent the ashes, I was sorting some of Catherine's papers, and came across her bucket list, which she had written in February and March. On it she had written "get to San Fran for the Americas's Cup", so I shared this information in a message once the ashes were on their way to California.

On July 20, 2012, at 2:25 PST, a bit of Catherine's ashes were spread from AC45 #4, with the Golden Gate bridge and the San Francisco skyline in the background.

When the sailor on board explained what he was going to do to the OR host, the OR photographer was asked to go out in the RIB to get some pics, which are what you see here. I just got these pics last night.

I was initially asked to keep things confidential, so I don't want to say who is behind this amazing thing, but if that sailor wants to identify himself here to get some much-deserved credit for performing this act of kind, selfless generosity...well, that is up to him.

Let's just say that as the whole thing came together, I was absolutely floored.

did something similar a couple of years ago, overhere it's not really legal but what the f*ck huh if it's the person's wish ? we dropped the ashes of my brother in law's father right next to a buoy a mile offshore, since that day the note in the logbook does not read "passing Weststroombank buoy" anymore, but "passing Gaston's buoy"

MSS has also sent me a bit of Catherine, and I'll be scattering her ashes on Lake Minnetonka, and also taking her with me to Australia in late September.

Catherine told me several times that she wanted to go to the Heaven Can Wait 24 hour race for cancer, so she's coming with me this time. I couldn't possibly be more honored.
