Last night in medium air 10 -15 knts heard a thumping sound coming from the bottom of the boat. It turns out the engine door had broken away from the track and was dangling by the top stainless ring. Need to know how to fix the track. The track itself is cracked off of the boat. Is there a specific epoxy that can be used to reform the track? I was planning on using a plumbers epoxy that would harden like steel (propoxy 20). Any advice or suggestions would be appreciated. (Please note I did not hit anything other than water).

If you do a search of this forum you will find several solutions.

The solution that may work best for you since you have issues with the tracks is one posted by Cazza. See http://forums.sailin...9&hl=door&st=25 Check out posts #34 and #40.

You may want to check with Cazza regarding how well it has worked over time or if he would do anything differently.
