Congrats to Ross MacDonald and the crew of CAN10, 'Gallant', for winning the 18 boat 'classics' division of the European Champiosnhips for the Six metre class. Second place went to US83, 'Llanoria', from Port Madison, Washington. Every photo I look at from this and the other 6mR events makes me want to get out and go sailing. It's awesome to see SA giving them some love on the front page!

Just came across a photo of our boat back in the day, circa 1967 (the last year we had her).
Junge was a Danish pre-war 6. The story was that the lead was removed during the war and cast iron went on in its place. Dad bought sails from Rolly Tasker that were handicap-oriented (as there was no 6 class in Belleville).
Last we heard of her was that she was in very poor condition at Woodwind Yachts.
Cheers

If 6mR are awesome, you should get in a 2.4mR...............No Crew required and a set of sails is only 1K....and they'll last longer than most others you buy.

There's a small 2.4 fleet here in Ottawa -- Ablesail uses Martins and 2.4s. Always wanted to try one!
