I don't know if Brewer is bigot or not. I am pretty sure that Obama's amnesty plan is ILLEGAL. It goes against the immigration laws passed by Congress. Congress is responsible for making the immigration laws, the Justice department is responsible for enforcing them. But the Justice Department (read Obama) decided they would like to do something different. I am pretty sure that is Brewer's main complaint.

Personally I think we badly need immigration reform. Some of the basic ideas of the Dream Act are sound. But that's up to Congress, not Obama.

ON a DAILY basis I run into people who freely toss about terms like wetback and nigger and who simnply do not think ANYBODY who does not look like what they see in the mirror themselves is to be treated as a human being.

The kids were BROUGHT here. The kids have lived as decent a life as any child could live when uprooted and taken to a new country...and this racist bitch just cannot stand allowing brown people to join her lily white little society.

What possible excuse does the woman have for throwing out kids who went to our schools, grew up with our kids, and have done EVERYTHING as regular American kids EXCEPT popping out from beteween their mother's legs while hovering over American soil?

Ten years of paperwork hell is a bad thing. it is not something we brag about and try to impose on everybody. The system is totally fucked!!! My friend from South Africa spent over $100,000 and ten years to get in...and he says it was well worth it...but that does NOT MAKE IT RIGHT!



I can think of thousands of better things to have PHD scientists do than fuck around with government paperwork for ten years while giving their hard earned money to those ineffecient government agencies.

Protecting your state as the sworn Governor is not bigotry. If people are sneaking in - they are breaking the law. Don't like the law, then fucking change it. But as it stands - the current law says you must come into the country under a legal and prescribed manor in order to stay and work here. Is that process fucked? You bet - so fucking fix it. But I have zero issues with a state saying enough is enough and doing what they can to keep it from being ruined for their LEGAL residents and citizens. There are few countries on the face of the planet that look the other way like we do wrt to illegal immigrants. France is one that comes to mind - and you can see their immigrantion policies are working our well for them.

A sovereign country should NEVER, EVER have to apologize for deciding who they allow in and how. Again, FIX THE FUCKING RULES! Turning a blind eye to the problem is not the answer. It has nothing to do with bigotry or racism - as much as you would like to charactorize it. If Norwegians were coming across the border in droves and eating us out of house and home - you can guaran-damn-tee that we would all be calling for measures to stop these norwegians from coming across the border and stealing froom us.

Because "stealing" is exacty what these illegal immigrants are doing. Yes, they may be fine, hardworking people who only want to make a better life for themselves. Most of the ones I've come in contact with are just that. I've long said I would trade all our white trash and black trash lazy-ass Americans on a 2 for 1 basis for these hard-working Latinos. I think we are totally fucked on this issue and to our detriment, it will be a decade or more before anything reasonable can be done. The whole issue has devolved into two sides (surprise, surprise) digging in and seemingly wanting to fight about it, rather than come up with a solution. I am strongly opposed to laws like the one in AZ, however I don't think it is fair to label supporters of those laws as bigots or racist, and throwing around labels like that is only going to result in both sides digging in deeper and arguing more. Neither side is even listening to the other except to look for more ammunition to use in their argument. Nobody is looking to understand each other, and until they do, nothing is going to get solved.
