Judging from the relative size of the 2x4 handrailing evident in the lower left of the picture I think it's shorter than 30 feet by a fair bit.

But, to be fair, Ed tried to sneak it in at 11.30 pm on a Monday night . I reckon it took a couple of minutes for anyone to even realize it was up.

Really Ed's feeble attempts to stump the forums are made to look even more pathetic by trying to pick random times when most are not paying attention. If he had a really half way difficult problem for us to identify, he should announce it in advance and post the pic at 6,00pm EST 3.00 pm PST on a Friday evening. If it is still unsolved by the following evening then I will take my hat off to him. Hey, if it is still unsolved by the following morning , Dryshirt guy can send Ed some of that unwanted kit from his wife's garage!

but it doesnt really take much effort to find out who was right. all i did was put gunboat 55 into google, followed the link and there you go. what makes me laugh is even after someone has clearly got the correct answer, people are still guessing away.
