Sorry Ricky. We didnt even got to Squadron before the card filled up. No pics of Octopuusy wiping oug, no Shaw thing porpoising down to Como (doing the dolphin!), no vipers turtling. Very disappointing.
That said, got some nice footage of catching up to the fleet after starting a minute late and of us trucking up hill. Passed a viper like it was standing still...giggle. The Shaw's love heavy air. Might see if Swompy can help me to upload it.
We should change the name of this thread to The Shaw Report

Are you and octo going to join the Vipers for the RFBYC Opening?? Mid river start at 2:05
I'll run a few extra course cards off...
Looks like eight vipers, Indecent Haste and whoever else...
Could be a good turnout....

Yeah, it was pretty light most of the race. Best run all day was heading back to SoPYC Octopussy got line honours, followed by Indecent haste and then us. Freshies aparently messed up the results, probably mistook us for Octopussy because we had our old Octopussy sails on.
Masses of boats out near the start line. Two canoes decided to sail through the middle of the fleet amidst everyone (couldn't believe it - was sure they were going to get run over.
Was great to see everyone out there

Interesting start with the sports boat fleet, 8 vipers and the Musto performance skiffs starting on the one line. The Musto's must have loved that...
The Shaws and the bigger T750 fought it out for line Honours with Octopussy getting the gong.
Tim Reger in his new Viper sailed superbly to finish a couple of minutes ahead of the other Vipers and a few seconds behind the Shaw -Shaw Thing.
Converting elapsed times to SMS, Viper 1st, Shaw 2nd and Viper 3rd.
Opening are over and sportsboat SMS series to come ... Should be great close racing.

Flat bottomed u-shaped carbon bracket under boom just forward of rear blocks. Nice to see you Saturday. Boat looks very good.
Sounds ideal. Will have to tell Skid.
Yeah, we were/are really happy with it. Just have to sort our keel issue and repair a bit of damage that happened at Port Walcott.
Hey, do you have a speed puc? We need to get one and suppose we should do our homework.and get a good one.

Going to make for a tactical Governors Cup... Run, Reach, Reach, Reach, Reach, Reach, Upwind, Reach.. Somehow I think a Couta boat might win.... they charge hard in a blow reaching.. Or a Sporty... if you get an ok handicap
??? using the 'C' word on a sports boat thread!
