Does anyone know how to change the top display on a Raymarine (nee Tacktick) Race Master unit. I didn't think it could be done, but I have just noticed this article:

and at the weekend I saw a French J/80 racing with the same configuration.

The top display can't be toggled easily, but you can change the mode the unit is running in through setup. Hold the dot button to enter setup, then use the down arrow to go to the options chapter. Use the right arrow to get to the MOdE section. Press the dot button to make it editable (it'll flash) then use left and right to change it and dot again to set it. You can switch it from Heading mode (HDG) to Speed (SPD) or Wind Direction (DIR). Once in one of those modes the top pane will be locked to that until you change the mode again.
