Hi Bob, I am in Auckland now with a job! Had a great 2.5 years from Seattle to here through all the usual places. Ended up in NZ last year, decided to keep cruising, applied for a work permit, spent 6 months in Fiji and now we are here for a bit to refill the kitty and continue on at some point.

I do have to confess, I have wanked a couple of times. There is one time in particular, with about 6-7 kts from about 135 on mirro flat water sailing to Rarotonga that I just had the asym kite of ghost along at 4-5 kts that was awesome. The GF was out with a migrain and I had been single handing for a few days but that was just a perfect 12 hours of sailing or so. The wind was light enough that the main was annoying and although we may have been slightly faster with it up, decided to relax and enjoy it.

Now I get to play on faster boats again, even went out on a FT10 in Auckand a few weeks back!

The FT10 was fun, though I have sailed on them back in Seattle before I left. It was pretty wet that night as it was blowing a pretty consistant 25+ with gusts to at least 35 and there were no reef points in the main. So wet, active sailing, but we were moving along pretty well!
